Space Madness: Spork C2E2 2015 Exclusive

Space Madness Spork C2E2 2015 Exclusive
Remember that Spocktrooper action figure from Junkfed? Check out Spork. He is a C2E2 2015 Exclusive. This mashup brings Spock and Mork from Ork together at last. As a kid who grew up with bot Spock and Mork, I have to say, I really dig what they are doing with this series.

Now I’m picturing an alternate reality where Mork shows up on the Enterprise in place of Q. How crazy would that have been?

Minimal Trek Is Maximum Fun

Minimal Trek Is Maximum Fun
The original Star Trek TV series was a pop culture phenomenon. Almost everything about it is iconic. In fact, it is amazing that the stars aligned to create such a show that would endure. Now a new Kickstarter campaign is underway in order to create minimal art based on the show.

It is called Minimal Trek, and these minimal posters and postcards are as amazing as the original Star Trek itself. They may be minimal, but they are awesome. They are created by graphic designer Mark Gonyea, who made one for all 79 episodes. He wants to make a 5X7 postcard for each season, an 18X24 poster for each season, and a limited edition 18X24 poster with the images from all three seasons. Hit the link to help fund it.

You can expect it to be packed full of new and archival imagery, along with stories and insights from Star Trek costume designers through the years. Check out some of the sample pages below.

From the classic Starfleet uniforms and daringly provocative outfits of The Original Series to flowing Vulcan robes, flamboyant Ferengi fashions, and formidable Klingon wedding attire, Star Trek: Costumes explores how these designs have played a key role in transporting fans to distant worlds and alien cultures over the last five decades.
