This fun series is titled “Native Species of Gotham City” by Ellie Bacan. It was part of DC Comics, We Could be Heroes fundraiser campaign auction awhile back. I really love what Ellie did here. It would be awesome to have an entire series of these on my walls.
Anthony Misiano aka Harley’s Joker is the Joker in this awesome cosplay. Joker’s Harley is Harley Quinn. Together they recreate Alex Ross’s famous poster titled “Tango With Evil”.
It is perfection. Everything is reproduced in amazing detail. The costumes, lighting, the poses. I think they have actually become the demented duo in this moment. If you like this recreation, you can get 11×17 and 8×10 autographed posters from Mr. Misano’s Joker Emporium. I don’t think anyone could have done it better. They excel at being a crazy couple.
This is the kind of artwork that you decorate your geek den or mancave with. These cool triptychs feature famous Sci-Fi vehicles. These posters will make any wall come alive. They are available in the Staermose Society 6 shop.
You can choose from the Ghostbusters Ecto-1, the Batmobile, Mad Max’s ride, The Back To The Future DeLorean and more. Each Giclée print is made on natural white, matte, ultra smooth, 100% cotton rag, acid and lignin free archival paper using Epson K3 archival inks. They are also custom trimmed with a 1″ border for framing. These prints are pretty impressive, that’s for sure. It’s hard to pick a favorite.
These Batman Pinup images are from Deviantartist Simon Pimpernel and show Batman and his enemies as they might have appeared in a Gotham a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. I would love to see these designs used in a future movie.
Make sure you check out the rest of his work too. He is an amazing artist, with a great eye. I picture Gotham during the prohibition, with Bruce Wayne’s parents killed by period gangsters.
The Geek Armory makes custom Sci-Fi ships that look stunning. And that’s an understatement. These ships are going to look awesome no matter where you display them. Many of them start out as the bland toys that we all know and love, but they soon get customized into props that would look great on screen as well as in your home or office.
They have everything from the Star wars CR90 corvette to Batman’s tumbler. All of the ships you see here are under $90. They also make all kinds of blaster and gun replicas.
Lilly Mähdrescher could teach the Joker a thing or two about makeup. This is Lily’s creative Batman inspired fashion makeup photo shoot. Lily did the modelling, makeup and styling. I think she totally captured the spirit of Gotham’s bad girls if they did a runway show in Arkham Asylum.
Even male characters like Mr. Freeze and The Penguin are portrayed here as female fashionistas. These looks will be all the rage among Gotham’s crazies this fall.
I love the Elseworlds series from DC Comics, where Batman can be anything from any period. Even the Wild West. And speaking of the Wild West, check out the Wild West Batman Figure, standing over 10-inches tall! He includes a grapnel gun, tomahawk, and display stand.
The detail on this DC Comics Batman Timeless Wild West Variant Play Arts Kai Action Figure is just magnificent. From his cowboy hat and boots, down to his chaps. No detail has been overlooked. He comes with several changeable hands and accessories. This one is a must for serious Batman collectors.
Brian Bolland’s illustration “Joker Trophy Wall” is a classic and terrifying work of art. The Joker is sitting around enjoying his pipe and a drink in front of the heads of dead and mounted superheroes. How can it get more horrifying you ask? Well, cosplayer and photographer Anthony Misiano brought it to life as a photograph that is every bit as chilling as the original.
If you are a Joker fan who needs this for your wall, (and aren’t we all?) Misiano is selling autographed 11×17″ copies at his shop. In all, this took 45 individual photographs to create. There were 16 photos of the Joker alone. Well, it all worked out perfectly. That is a super scary scene.
Darling Army makes some beautiful and playful geek clothing. The ones that really stand out are her Kimono Dresses. Check out some of her cool pieces below. There’s Pikachu, Link from The Legend of Zelda, Doctor Who’s TARDIS, Batman and Robin, as well as many more.
It’s amazing how cool kimono style dresses look when you add some geek flair. They are stylish and sexy. I can’t wait to see what she does next. They are perfect for cosplay or everyday wear.
This series of Batman art done in the 1966 style is awesome. Where was this cartoon series when I was a kid? These fantastic illustrations are from Des Taylor, who has an amazing eye for Batman style.
They could still do this cartoon today. I see it as Mad Men meets Gotham, meets Bewitched. I just love those colors and that retro style. Well, we may not have this on TV, but at least Des Taylor gives us a glimpse into this fantastic world.
