Pop Culture Postage – These Are The Postage Stamps We Want

Pop Culture Postage - These Are The Postage Stamps We Want
The USPS has been in financial trouble for a long time now, but if they actually made stamps that looked like this, they would make a fortune selling them to nerds like me and you. These images by Clark Orr are posters, postcards and also the subject of a new art exhibit at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles called Pop Culture Postage. Orr turned some of the most iconic films, TV and comics of all-time into amazing looking, though sadly not real stamps. See the rest here.

Star Trek Enterprise Screen Used Shuttlepod Prop

Star Trek Enterprise Screen Used Shuttlepod Prop
If anyone wants to buy this Star Trek Enterprise Screen Used Shuttlepod Prop, feel free. I wouldn’t mind having this parked in the garage. Someone is selling it on eBay for $150,000. That is a bargain for an honest to God spacecraft from Star Trek Enterprise.

This is only one of 2 full scale shuttles made for the series, this process vehicle comprises three separate sections and features onboard electronics to illuminate the backlit navigation panel, exterior running lights and fluorescent lights for the rear thrusters. It has hatches on the port and starboard side as well as on the top. When the production ended the control panels where stripped out so the restoration team consulted with Mike Okuda who provided his original files and schematics of the Shuttles construction using Okuda’s files, New panels where replicated by the Paramount sign shop ( The same that constructed the original panels) using the same products and materials used to construct the originals. The panels are screen printed and feature finely detailed gauges, banks of buttons and key switches and readouts. Square rubber buttons are also incorporated on some of the key pad panels. This Impressively built piece measures approx 20ft long. It unbolts in three sections. Special shipping arrangements will apply. This really belongs in a museum! The buyer pays all shipping cost! Any questions please ask… Also this is for the serious collector so no low ball offers! Thanks and LLAP!

Fox Orders New X-Men Series From Bryan Singer

Fox Orders New X-Men Series From Bryan Singer
We had heard rumors that there was a new X-Men series coming and that it would take place in the X-Men cinematic universe. Well, it turns out that it was true. In fact, Fox has officially ordered the pilot for the series from producer Bryan Singer, and they’ve hired Matt Nix (Burn Notice) to write as well as produce.

Variety says that the pilot “will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.” So obviously the pilot will serve as an origin story for those involved.

Fox had already picked up the upcoming series Legion, which looks pretty darn good. So this would be there second. Are they headed the way of the CW? That would be awesome. I am a firm believer that these properties work much better on television. I can’t wait to see where this goes. Although I am kind of done with Singer.

Doctor Who: Which Doctor Should You Travel With?

Doctor Who Which Doctor Should You Travel With?
It would be amazing to travel through time and space with any Doctor from Doctor Who. The only problem is choosing which Doctor to travel with. They all have their good points. Well, this handy flowchart will help you figure it out. Actually finding your Doctor and getting into the TARDIS I will leave up to you. Good luck to you on flagging down your Doctor and leaving Earth. If you actually do meet up with him, be sure to drop us a postcard, an email, or just change time in such a way that we know.

Supergirl Costume Replica

Supergirl Costume Replica
This Supergirl Costume Replica looks pretty spot on. It looks just like the one that Supergirl wears in the hit CW show. If you want to cosplay Supergirl, be Supergirl for Halloween, or just occasionally transform into her, this is the costume for you. It comes from Etsy seller pinkpurr, who also has plenty of other cool costumes. Funny, I didn’t like this costume at first, before the show aired, but it really is a great design.

Doctor Who Series 10 Teaser Trailer

Doctor Who Series 10 Teaser Trailer
Finally we had some Doctor Who with the Christmas special, after a long drought this year. Now it is time to set our sights on series 10. We now have a trailer. It is full of lots of new robots, monsters and running. In other words, everything you expect from Doctor Who. This trailer focuses heavily on Bill, the Doctor’s new companion, has some Daleks, Matt Lucas, strange robots with smiley faces, a blue alien and much much more. It looks like it is going to be a great season. From what we can see here, Matt Lucas looks like he may be a companion this series as well.

Intense Season 4 Trailer For The 100

Intense Season 4 Trailer For The 100
When we last left The 100, the evil A.I. known as A.L.I.E. failed to entice the survivors into the City of Light, but before Clarke took care of her, A.L.I.E. revealed that the nuclear power plants that remained were melting down, and that 90% of the Earth’s surface will be uninhabitable within 6 months. Obviously this means that things are about to get really nasty for the grounders and everyone else. This trailer does a great job of showing us how bad things are going to get. Downright gruesome. I have no idea how our heroes are going to survive this season, but I can’t wait to find out.
