Batman vs Superman: The Deadliest Villains

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice will be released in theaters later this week, so Twizzle.co.uk has put together an infographic that takes a look at some of the fiercest villains that these two titans have faced over the years. It’s a fun look back at all of the bad guys from years gone by. Many of them are still around because, well comics.

“With the release of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice just two weeks away, our Twizzlers are getting just a little bit excited! We know the basics of the storyline, however can’t wait to find out how the plot evolves and how the film ends up… we’re fairly sure it won’t be what we’re expecting!

Batman, Superman And Wonder Woman Tattoo-Style Art

This tribute to “The Bat, The Amazon and God” comes from artist Nicolas Côme. It features Batman , Superman and Wonder Woman in a Tattoo art style. I’m not usually a big fan of this kind of tattoo art, but I have to say, I love these. All of the details just blow me away. They would really come to life with some color. I guess this is what our heroes would like like after they are long gone and in the grave. It is disturbing yet beautiful. I would love to see these on someone’s skin. I would also love to see the artist do more heroes.

They have so many classic covers from a variety of different titles. I love that Marvel 2001: A Space Odyssey cover below. These are colorful retro reminders of some very amazing issues. These would look great on your couch or bed. They also have these available as wall hangings. Nice!

Man Of Steel Inspired Medieval Armor

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive next month, but let’s not forget where the recent Superman reboot began. Zack Snyder’s 2013 film Man of Steel. That movie inspired this cool Man of Steel armor, designed by Samuel Lee of Prince Armory. I love that Kryptonian symbol on the front, which is the focal point of this leather-constructed recreation of old medieval-style armor.

This armor includes a cool helmet too. That’s right, it is all leather and it looks like it came straight out of some concept art for the film. This is an amazing creation.

Cartoon Style Superhero Art

We’re really loving this Superhero art from Corey Smith. This small collection of superhero art is fun and done in a cartoon style. I could totally see some Superhero cartoons done in this style. I would watch it. Especially the Superman show. Too bad such cartoons don’t exist right now. Corey, you need to animate these.

Here we have Wolverine, Luke Cage, Superman and Captain America. These pieces all have so much character. Although I’m not sure what the deal is what Captain America’s neck. There’s also a cool zombie hunter.

Festive DC Superhero Christmas Sweaters

These DC Comics Christmas-themed sweaters make awesome Christmas gifts. Even if you just get one for yourself, these sweaters are fun and festive. The designs were inspired by some of our favorite heroes, like Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Superman. Full Sized LEGO DC Superheros

Last month, artist Nathan Sawaya’s full-sized Batmobile made entirely of LEGO bricks was the centerpiece for an art exhibit at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia called The Art of the Brick: DC Comics, and now we can show you more cool stuff that Sawaya created for the event. He made 120 original art pieces and below are just some highlights. They are all great, but I really love his version of The Flash.

It is amazing what you can do with LEGO. It’s one thing to build a little LEGO house and another to build full sized statues.

DC Comics Superheroes Get Old

Shanghai based artist Eddie Liu created this imaginative series that imagines what some DC superheroes might look like if they grew old and were ready for retirement. We know them as young heroes in their prime, but in real life, everyone ages. It’s fascinating seeing such iconic heroes in a new light. These heroes may be old, but just look at them. They can still take care of business.

I think I prefer seeing our heroes as older rather than seeing them laid to rest.

Who’s Better: Superman or Batman?

There is no end to the geek arguments that you and your friends can have regarding your favorite comic book characters. One of the classics is: Who is better? Superman or Batman? Artist Kerry Callen has created this cool series of art examining that very question.

The artist thought that the best way to determine which hero is better would be to replace them on each other’s comic covers and see how they fare. Sounds reasonable. This should decide once and for all who is better.
