Marvel Heroes And DC Heroes Suit Up For Danger

Superheroes have long protected their home cities, states, and the world. But in 2020 how can they protect us mere mortals against a deadly pandemic like coronavirus? By wearing medical masks of course, just like us. You do what you have to do to protect the ones you love from covid-19. These heroes are no stranger to masks, so the choice was an easy one. They just do what they do every day. Marvel Heroes and DC Heroes suit up for danger. Just like all of the doctors and nurses around the world, who are also heroes.

So if you see one of your favorite Marvel Heroes and DC Heroes flying by and looking a little strange, have no fear. And make sure that you mask up too, in order to protect them right back. This art honors everyone who fights for our health every day. Living in a world where we have to quarantine is not easy. The heroes are on the frontline fighting coronavirus.

Henry Cavill Wearing The Golden Age Superman Costume

So here’s Henry Cavill wearing the Golden Age Superman Costume. There have been rumors that a new Superman is being cast, but looking at this image from artist Dalton Barrett should make it clear that Cavill is a great Superman. He just needs better writing from people who actually know what Superman is all about. I love this image of Cavill wearing the Superman costume from the June 1938 Action Comics #1.

A DC Comics Themed Restaurant May Be Headed For The UK

Breakfast With Batman? Noontime nuggets with Nightwing? Supper With Superman? According to Bleeding Cool, a new DC-themed restaurant is being planned for the UK where comics and food will collide. I have to say I like this idea a lot, but why doesn’t the US ever get cool things like this?

“The proposed design continues the use of the space as a high-end restaurant. The restaurant will be rooted within the DC Multiverse, taking visitors on a culinary adventure through the many fictional Universes famous for its superhero residents such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The style and design of the DC Multiverse are heavily influenced by the Art Deco period with the style prominent within its publications and film and television work.

The restaurant will not be a ‘theme park’ with literal sets and costumes from the franchise, but it has the intention to invite guests to experience the DC Universe without breaking the fourth wall- the imaginary wall that separates the audience from the performance. Reflecting Oliver Bernard’s work, the design will be a contemporary interpretation of the Art Deco period. This approach will evoke a sense of atmosphere prevalent in DC and the Titanic Bar without resorting to pastiche, encapsulating the Art Deco ethos of endless possibilities- progression and forward movement of time.”

I could dine in Gotham.

Darth Vader And Other Pop Culture Icons On The Toilet Prints

They may not show it on the big screen, frankly, that would just be weird, but even Super Heroes and Villains need a bathroom break. So, when Prodigy Prints came out with the Darth Vader on the Toilet Print the world went “Whaaat!” Vader poops? They have other prints too featuring all kinds of characters with their pants at their knees. Dr. Evil, Deadpool, Superman, Spider-Man, an astronaut and more. The most disturbing bathroom art of the collection, in our opinion, are of Batman and Superman, who appear to be looking directly at you. It’s like they know, that you know, that they know they are being watched on the throne. Trust me, we are just as disturbed as they are.

These prints arrive unframed and come on white matte paper with a white border. But we know that you will want to frame this and hang it in your bathroom. It’s the perfect potty wall art, after all.

First Look at The CW’s Superman and Lois Lane

What do we all look forward to watching in December? No, it’s not Christmas movies, though those are okay. We’re talking about The Arrowverse crossover event, Elseworlds. Featuring the latest Superman, played by Tyler Hoechlin, and Lois Lane, played by Elizabeth Tulloch. This series brings together many of the DC Comic Book Superheroes.

The Elseworlds crossover features characters that include: The Green Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Batwoman, to name a few. This will also show a never-before seen meeting of Arrow and the Flash with Superman.

The series was filmed at the Kent’s family farmhouse, the same one that was used in the filming of Smallville. The three-day show event starts on December 9, 2018 and continues over the next two days.

When was the last time you got to look inside of a superhero or villain and see what makes him or her tick? I mean really looking inside. Like, their anatomy. Well, the DC Comics Anatomy of a Metahuman Hardcover Book lets you do just that. Check out the inside of Superman’s eyeball, Cyborg’s heart and much more. It is a very extensive book with chapters on the Justice League like Superman and Aquaman, as well as the biggest villains like Darkseid and Doomsday.

This book is beautiful but slightly unsettling. And that’s why I have to have it. You can pre-order it right now and it will ship in September.

Artist Jeffrey Christopher J’s GOLD series is simple, yet bold. It features Marvel and DC Superheroes in monochrome, with a touch of gold. Those gold accents show the fire inside of these heroes and really makes the images pop. These images are very simple, yet very powerful. Great Job Jeffrey!

The Rebirth of Superman

The Rebirth of Superman by artist Danilo Rodrigues is an amazing and funny modern interpretation of the classic painting titled The incredulity of Saint Thomas. That is the painting that gave rise to the term doubting Thomas, just in case you were wondering. I love it. It’s equal parts geeky and funny, but still has that seriousness of classic works of art. Batman seems skeptical, which is totally Batman in that situation.
