You may have heard about a little thing called Star Trek and you may have heard rumblings about some 50th anniversary something or other. Well, this week The Poster Posee launched a 4 phase art tribute to both the upcoming film, Star Trek: Beyond and the 50th anniversary of this beloved sci-fi franchise. These posters really look amazing. I think I love them all.

La La Land Records has announced a cool new collectible that belongs on your turntable. This new Star Trek soundtrack release is a single edition of the TOS theme, but the coolest thing about it is that it is not on a round record, but an insignia shaped vinyl disc, in command gold.
The A side has the season three soprano version of the the main title, the B side is the season one cello version. It is a limited edition of 1701 units. It will debut at San Diego Comic Con, and then be offered online from La La Land’s website on July 26th. This is a record worthy of being in your collection.

The 50th anniversary is a big year for Star Trek Mega Bloks. They are offering several TOS sets and models of ships. QMx has unveiled two new additions to its Master Series figures. That would be Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock. They have over 30 points of articulation, screen-accurate clothing and amazingly realistic sculpts of the actors. They come in standard versions and limited-edition versions that include Kirk’s Phaser Rifle and Spock’s Lute. The details on these sculpts are just incredible. Collectors are going to love these.
