These Stained Glass Illustrations Are Incredible

I love how bright and colorful these stained glass illustrations are. Not to mention geeky. 0ShardsofColor0 offers all kinds of amazing stained glass inspired art. These Sci-Fi and Superhero illustrations below are some of our favorites. I just love that Star Trek piece with the ship above and the crew below on transporter pads. The Star Wars piece inspired by the classic A New Hope poster is really awesome too. I love them all, but those are my favorites. These are all reasonably priced and would look great anywhere in your home.

New Concept Art For Star Wars Land

We got our first glimpse of the new Star Wars Land during The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60 on ABC. That’s where a bunch of new concept art was revealed for the theme park. I really like what I’m seeing here. These pieces of concept art all look like locales I would love to visit in the park. These all look so good. Fans are going to love the Millennium Falcon, not to mention the rest of it. There’s also an experience with various droids and aliens, and if that isn’t enough, how about extraterrestrial markets where you can challenge your taste buds with exotic food? Sounds like there will be all kinds of exciting things going on.

The Fifth Element Leeloo Dallas Multipass Prop Replica

We featured a Fifth Element multipass awhile back, but this one here is the officially licensed prop replica. It is a 1:1 scale prop replica from The Fifth Element, Luc Besson’s sci-fi classic. It features a removable tray to insert an ID card and personalize it the way you want. This replica is 6 1/2-inches wide by 5-inches tall. Perfect for cosplay or just as a cool collectible from the film.

Boba Fett Vs. Sarlacc

Boba Fett may have fallen into the Sarlacc Pit in Return of The Jedi, but as we all know, that wasn’t the end of the bounty hunter. We know from the EU material that he survived, even if we didn’t get to see it on film. This artwork by DanLuVisi gives us a glimpse of his struggle. I mean, we all knew that Boba Fett wasn’t about to go down without a fight right? No way a Sarlacc is keeping him down. This art is all kinds of awesome.

2001: A Space Odyssey Blue Discovery Astronaut 1:6 Scale Space Suit

So many things from 2001: A Space Odyssey are memorable: HAL 9000, The Pod, the Monolith. I have seen this movie about a thousand times and I am still impressed by all of the design work. Another memorable thing is the space suit. I just love how it looks. And the colors too.

Well, now you can own a 1:6 scale replica. The 2001: A Space Odyssey Blue Discovery Astronaut 1:6 Scale Space Suit is highly detailed and a real beauty. I for one, would love to have this displayed on my desk.

Star Wars African Totem C-3PO

Artist Evgeny Rusolovski created this awesome Star Wars African Totem version of C-3PO. This is certainly one of the most unique takes on the droid that I have seen in a while. I would love to see what the artist could do with other Star Wars characters as totems.

Totem or no totem, never tell me the odds. I bet this is what an Ewok created statue would look like by the time they have made temples and worshiped 3PO for many years.

Farscape Canvas Painting Of Rygel

I really miss Farscape, so I was excited to come across this painting based on the show. This painting was inspired by the painting on Farscape in season 1 that Zan makes of Rygel. It was made using over a dozen screen captures that were put together and carefully taken apart, then reassembled one color at a time to make it as accurate as possible. They did an awesome job.

The Fifth Element Dan Mumford Art Print

The Fifth Element comes to life in this stunningly colorful art print by artist Dan Mumford. It is one of the most iconic sci-fi movies of the 90’s and this beautifully rendered image shows off Mumford’s detailed scratch board like technique. This is perfect for any wall in a fan’s home. It measures 27-inches wide by 40-inches high and uses 100 lb satin-finish paper. Just lovely.

Enemy Mine: SFX Miniatures

Enemy Mine was a movie that was so ahead of it’s time in so many ways. The story is timeless, the Special effects were great for it’s day and it came from a time when not everything had to be a blockbuster. You just tell a good solid story, you make the viewer care and you are done. This is a movie that stays with you long after you watch it. Could a movie that focuses on just two characters with limited effects even be made today? Probably not and that’s a damn shame.

The special effects that were in the movie looked amazing at the time. Check out some of this movie’s SFX miniatures and a few behind the scenes shots. What a special movie. It is really unique compared to most Science Fiction in that it has such heart and humanity while both characters are so far from home.
