New Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 TV Spot

The new GOTG movie continues to look amazing. It sounds amazing too, thanks to the soundtrack. Marvel has released another TV spot for the film and it features the song Suffragette City from David Bowie. There is a bit of new footage here, but the coolest part is Baby Groot plugging the Walkman into some giant speakers so everyone can rock out to the action.

This Star Wars Art Explores Alternate Scenes From The Original Trilogy
These fan art pieces explore “What if…”. They depict alternate scenes from the original Star Wars trilogy that never happened. They were submissions for the ILM ART Department Challenge, hosted by Industrial Light & Magic and ArtStation. Each one tells a tale that was never seen on the big screen, but suggests a new storyline. It is fun to see what might have been. These pieces are good enough to be honest to God concept art for these non-existent scenes.

Rian Johnson Teases Photo of Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Opening Crawl

Rian Johnson Teases Photo of Star Wars The Last Jedi's Opening Crawl
Damn you Rian Johnson. Why must you tease us? We have almost a full year to wait for this movie still. I guess stuff like this gives us something to do in the meantime. Director Rian Johnson released a neat behind-the-scenes photo teasing the opening crawl for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We are still speculating what that title could mean. It probably just refers to Luke being the last since Rey isn’t a Jedi yet. We will have to wait and see.

This cool photo was posted on Instagram with the following caption:

“Felt so good to drop this into the cut this morning.”

It is going to be so hard to wait until December.

Episode VIII Gets a Title – Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Episode VIII Gets a Title - Star Wars The Last Jedi
At last Star Wars Episode VIII has a title. That title is… Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It is a rather striking title given that this movie falls in the middle of a trilogy rather than the end. It is a cool title, but it really gives us no hint as to what we can expect. This does not mean that Luke or Rey have to die, because Jedi can refer to one or several. We don’t know what it means, but an official title brings us at least one step closer to the movies arrival, which is in December.

If you enjoyed Arrival, Oblique FX has released The Making Of Arrival video showing off the VFX work on the film. Many Bothans died to- I mean, a lot of work went into telling this story on the big screen and much of that was special effects work. This video gives us a look at what was real and what was not. They did an amazing job on this film and without these effects it would not have been the awesome movie that it is. Many people consider this to be the best Sci-Fi movie of 2016 after all.
