Fantastic Four Concept Designs Reveal HERBIE The Robot

Fantastic Four Concept Designs Reveals HERBIE The Robot
If you were disappointed with Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four movie, you were far from alone. One thing that we didn’t see in the movie was HERBIE the robot. Apparently the robot was to be in the movie at one point. Not that this would have helped any.

HERBIE stands for Humanoid Experimental Robot, B-type, Integrated Electronics. Thanks to concept artist Fausto De Martini we have some concept designs showing us what we missed out on. He is literally a robot sitting on a soccer ball. He also has LEGO parts. I’m guessing it was to be built by Reed Richards as a kid in the film. Or maybe as an adult. I mean most of us never grow out of LEGO. It’s kind of cool, but it also feels like something is off about it.

Forbidden Planet Blaster 1:1 Scale Prop Replica

Forbidden Planet Blaster
If you are planning a trip to Altair IV, pack a blaster. Forbidden Planet is a sci-fi classic. I don’t need to tell you that. But if you have never seen the film, you are really missing out. This Forbidden Planet Blaster 1:1 Scale Prop Replica is a full size prop replica of the sidearm carried by the United Planets crew. It looks like they paid attention to every detail.

This blaster has a metal look and is made of resin with a custom acrylic nose cone. When you pull the trigger the cone lights up just like it did on screen. It comes with a custom display base and is limited to just 600 pieces worldwide. This one is going to look great on display.

The Art and Making of The Dark Knight Trilogy

dark knight book 2
Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy started with Batman Begins, which explored Batman’s origins. The Dark Knight raised the stakes, pitting Batman against the Joker. Then The Dark Knight Rises completed the arc.

The Art and Making of The Dark Knight Trilogy tells the complete behind-the-scenes story of all three films. It is based on in-depth interviews with Nolan and all of the films’ key cast and crew and explores the creative process behind the epic Dark Knight Trilogy, with amazing art and never-before-seen photography. These movies changed the way that superhero films were made.

Fantastic Four Concept Art

Fantastic Four Concept Art
Whether you enjoyed Josh Trank’s FF4 movie or not, you’ll like this. Concept artist Steve Jung has released some concept art that he made for the much talked about and maligned Fantastic Four film.

What is interesting here is that they feature a different-looking Planet Zero and also show off Doctor Doom’s castle. This art was created in 2013, and you can see from these images that at that time, that things changed a lot. I’m really enjoying what I’m seeing here. We can only imagine what kind of movie we would have gotten if their plans hadn’t changed so much.

Ripper: A Batman Fan Film

James Campbell needs your help to complete his very awesome film named Ripper. The film is nearly complete, but they need money for the final 20% of the film. Judging by the trailer here, it is a worthy investment. It looks really amazing with some nice production value.

Batman against Jack The Ripper is a great story. It’s based on the 1991 Elseworlds graphic novel, Gotham By Gaslight, which is a classic. Go here to help James finish this cool project.
