Star Wars Characters As Expensive Sports Cars

Star Wars Characters As Expensive Sports Cars
With Star Wars: The Force Awakens almost here, the folks at Car Wow have been passing the time by designing some cool new Star Wars themed cars. They have reimagined some popular characters as flashy sports cars.

I love them all, with one exception. Can you guess which one I think should be left in a junk yard? I’ll give you a hint. “Mes’a get good gas mileage Ani. Choose me.”

Avengers Drinks

Avengers Drinks
Earth’s mightiest heroes are here to quench your thirst with these Avengers themed drinks. Sadly we can’t buy these at the store. They are conceptual pieces by Ruben Ruata, who did a fantastic job. I would buy each and every one of these. That is some kick-ass labeling and packaging. I want to know how they taste!

Especially that “Captain 1941”. That has had some serious time to age. I’m also down for a bottle of Asgard beer anytime.

Wild Animal Stormtrooper Helmets

Wild Animal Stormtrooper Helmets
New York based designer Blank William has reinterpreted the iconic Stormtrooper helmet in a very interesting way. These are not like any other Stormtrooper helmets you have ever seen. They bear the likeness of an elephant, a rhino and hippo.

Aside from looking like jungle animals, the helmets come in two styles: The New Order in both black and white. The black ones have contrasting gold elements, and the white has white and black tones with chrome accents. Even though we have seen many unique takes on Stormtrooper helmets, it is amazing that there can still be designs that come completely out of left field. This is truly a unique take on the Empire’s workforce.

Bender From Futurama Becomes… Everyone

Bender From Futurama Becomes... Everyone
Bite my shiny metal bat! What? Andy Whittingham created this fun mashup featuring our favorite wisecracking robot, Bender Bending Rodríguez as, well, just about every geek character we love. Bender as Batman, Bender as Boba Fett, C-3PO and more.

Bender’s camouflage technique is is pretty awesome, now if he could only change his shape, we might be fooled.

Style Wars: Haute Sci-Fi Couture

Style Wars Haute Sci-Fi Couture
Milan, Italy based artist Francesco Grandazzi created this fun mashup between the Star Wars universe and iconic Fashion, Luxury and Style brands. It really works quite well. I especially like what he did with the Polo brand, changing it to Solo and showing Han riding a Tauntaun.

I could see these as tags on Star Wars themed clothes from these companies. This is a fun way to play with branding and add some Star Wars flair. Francesco has a good eye for design.

Star Wars: Fashion Icons of the Galaxy

Star Wars Fashion Icons of the Galaxy
Check out our favorite Star Wars characters as fashion icons. I guarantee that you have never seen Luke, Yoda and the rest of the gang like this before. This is the work of Taipei City, Taiwan based artist Bam! Bam! Bam! I really like what he did here. I love seeing some of my favorite heroes and villains in ways that I have never seen them before.

Even Chewy is getting in on the act and you don’t often see him wearing any clothes.

Geeky Hockey Jersey Concepts

Geeky Hockey Jersey Concepts
Sean Tourangeau is obviously a huge Hockey fan as well as being a geek. So he combined both of those passions to create this awesome set of geek themed Hockey jerseys. They include everything from a Star Trek team with Riker(Who is appropriately number 01) to Bruce Wayne’s jersey from the Gotham Bats. I especially like the Star Trek Red Shirts team jersey and the Transformer versions.

This reminds me that we need more geek-themed sports teams. Get on that DC and Marvel. And the rest of you. The players could cosplay while playing their sport.

Millennium Falcon Concept Car

millennium falcon car
The Millennium Falcon as a car looks like a million bucks. Or a million galactic credits, Whichever is worth more. I’m no good at currency conversion. This is a concept from artist roobi and it looks outstanding. I think Hot Wheels needs to hire this guy and up their Star Wars car designs.

In a car like this you just have to do your best to avoid any Imperial entanglements, not that the cops could catch you. All I know is, I don’t want to be anywhere near this thing when it goes to hyper drive.

Lovely Custom X-Men Playing Cards

Lovely Custom X-Men Playing Cards
I really love the style of these custom X-Men playing cards. They are from Melbourne-based designer Mark Eastwood. Naturally they are called “Uncanny Playing Cards”. Instead of your typical kings and queens, the face cards have Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto, Storm, and Professor X, plus others.

They all interact with the suit symbols in clever ways too. They have a great retro style as if they were released in the 1960s. Even Gambit wouldn’t throw these cards. They are too cool. I need to be able to buy them.
