I love vintage sci-fi T-Shirt art. There’s nothing like it in the world. So I had to share just some of the amazing retro sci-fi T-shirts that Zuul’s Stash sells. They have all kinds of T-shirts for well known and obscure movies, video games Tv shows and more. These designs really take me back and make me wish I had all of my old T-shirts from when I was a kid.
Tom Velez’s take on Catwoman is really intriguing. Sure, we all like the latex look, but wouldn’t it be nice to see something different? Something more down to Earth, that she can wear everyday and still look both badass and unique. This is certainly a more practical outfit and I love her new ride too.
Tie-X is Jason Battersby’s personal TIE Fighter design project. It took 4 months to create. His goal was to design a ship that fits into the Star Wars galaxy while also having his own design influences. I say job well done. This ship looks stunning. You can see many shots of it in action, chasing the Millennium Falcon, in the docking bay and on patrol. The design is just perfect.
This is a studio apartment in the Scandinavian style, made for the design-studio “Dvordes”. They decked it out in a great Adventure Time theme. I like that they didn’t overdo everything, but yet it still have a very strong Adventure Time theme. This Adventure Time Themed Apartment could easily be a fancy penthouse suite somewhere in the land of Ooo. I think the Kitchen and livingroom are the best, but the whole place is amazing.
Andy Hall designed these cool Star Trek: The Next Generation Soccer Uniforms. While I don’t think we will ever see Picard and crew playing soccer, they are represented well by these uniforms. There are uniforms for command, operations and science, complete with the Nike swoosh logo that they would have if they were a reality. Too bad we can’t buy these.
I saw these cool minimalist superhero prints and posters and had to share them with you guys. Etsy seller charmming makes these and they are so gorgeous. They each really capture the essence of the character through brilliant use of colors and logos, in a very dynamic way. They pull no punches with their in your face style. They are all very reasonably priced too. These are great Christmas gifts, but you’ll want to get yourself a few as well.
CG artist Adam Rzatkowski created this beautiful steampunk lightsaber, which truly is an elegant weapon for a more civilized age. It has a lot of fantastic details while still looking completely functional. It is the perfect weapon for a gentleman who is also a jedi. So nice and shiny. Almost too lovely to fight with.
Star Trek fans will definitely want to read the story of how some of the most talented designers in Hollywood created the Star Trek starships that we know and love. This book has it all, from the first sketches to the finished models that appeared on screen. The Star Trek Designing Starships Book Volume 1 covers the genesis of more than 30 ships and it includes all 7 Enterprises. There’s original concept art and much more. See how these ships were born and shaped.
What if the first interstellar spacecraft to be built just happens to be commissioned by the US Navy? And what if its design is inspired by a science-fiction TV show from the sixties? What would that look like? Something like this. And it is amazing. This is one of the most beautiful interpretations of a Constitution class I have ever seen. Much better than the silly ships in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek movies. To all of the future designers, directors and artists out there, this is how you do it!

It would be scary enough being a smuggler and seeing a Star Destroyer. Seeing this thing? I’d not only drop my cargo, I’d get in it beforehand and then drop my cargo.
