Montegrappa DC Comics Designer Pens

Even in our digital age, the art of writing is still far from dead. That is as it should be. And if you do still use a pen occasionally, make it a special event with these beautiful new pens based on DC Comics’ heroes and villains. They look gorgeous.

This series of lovely writing instruments comes from Montegrappa and includes pens based on Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Catwoman, The Riddler, The Penguin and The Joker. Each features a clip showing the hero or villain and the pen matches in color. Each is available as a Ballpoint, Rollerball, or a Fountain Pen. They will cost you $395, $435 and $475.

Clown Princess Of Crime Cosplay

Cutest. Joker. Ever. Behold the Crown Princess of Crime as you have never seen…her…before. Cosplayer Dark Incognito/HydraEvil’s Joker cosplay is just amazing. That face! Those colors! This must be how Harley Quinn felt when she fell in love with Mr. J!

The stellar photography was done by Akami. Absolutely stunning. This is one of those photo sets that just gives me chills. I wish she could be the Joker in the next Batman movie.

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? I ask that of all my prey. I just like the sound of it.

Superhero Dissections

London UK based artist James Northcote is not a super villain. No really. He just likes to dissect superheroes in his series titled Hero dissections. I guess he is just curious about what makes them tick. We all are. It’s just that most of us don’t go slicing them up to find out.

I want to tell James to be careful and that this is how villains always start out, but to be honest I’m kind of scared of James. Just kidding James. You gave me a chuckle with these illustrations.

The Adorable Evolution Of Catwoman

What I find most interesting about artist Jeff Victor’s illustrated Evolution of Catwoman from movies and TV is that in the 2000’s she was wearing a lot less clothes. I never really noticed since I have tried hard to forget Halle Berry’s version of the classic character.

These illustrations are absolutely adorable though and give us a look at how Selina Kyle has changed over the years. It’s not nearly as drastic as some other heroes. For the most part they haven’t changed her all that much.

Beautiful Batgirl Cosplay

Alexia Jean Grey is deadly, but beautiful in this Batgirl cosplay. She has an intensity that says you should keep your distance, but you can’t help wanting to approach her. The costume is really top notch. Adam Jay from Superhero Photography pulled off an amazing photoshoot.

Batgirl feels very unique and Jester Fx did an amazing job with details on the armor. Everything about this costume makes my heart flutter when I’m wearing it. Getting a great shot with her isn’t finding the right pose, it’s projecting emotion through my gaze.

Vespa: Superhero Editions

A world where superheroes evolved to ride around on Vespas? You’re looking at it. These fun illustrations by Istanbul, Turkey based artist Mete Eraydın May even convince you that this is the only mode of transport for comic book heroes.

These colorful rides look pretty sweet. Let’s hope that the villains are sticking to Vespas as well, otherwise our heroes are going to have a hard time catching up.

Sexy Lady Robin Cosplay

Holy girl wonder Batman! This sexy photo shoot comes from Donigan Artworks. The sexy Lady Robin? That’s cosplayer Nikasaur. It is titled “Batman Booty Call”. You can see why.

Stephanie Brown (as played by Nikasaur) has a little bit of a crush on the caped crusader. After a night of crime fighting, she can’t help but use the Batphone to make a late night Bat-booty Call. “All we can say is Holy Hotness Batman! To the Batcave!”

No doubt Batman dropped what he was doing right away. Surely Gotham can survive one night with the Joker on the loose.

Superheroes Celebrating Movember

Check out these fun illustrations from James Bousema that show some of our favorite superheroes celebrating No Shave November aka Movember. They all have crazy and manly facial hair. Well, almost all of them. Poor Peter Parker, after all of these years, still can’t grow any facial hair.

We’ve got Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Dr. Manhattan, Hulk, Deadpool, Batman and Spider-Man. Thankfully November is almost over, so these guys can go have a shave and go back to looking normal. I’m sure they will be more than happy to stop itching for awhile. Though they do look pretty badass.

Drunk Superheroes Star In Volkswagen Drunk Driving Ads

These images are from a series of sketches of a proposed campaign for Volkswagen called Drunk Superheroes by Heredia, Costa Rica based Fabio Obando and San Salvador, El Salvador based Miguel Membreño.

The final versions have the Volkswagen logo on the bottom with “Don’t let your ego drive you. If you drink, don’t drive.” It really drives the point home. No pun intended. Whether you are a superhero or a mere human, do not drink and drive.

Wild West Batman And Robin

I love the Batman Elseworlds stories that take the Caped Crusader out of his element. In those “What if…” stories Batman might be a Pirate, a cop, in the civil war, or maybe even in the old west. I’m a sucker for taking Batman out of his element, which is why I love this Batman and Robin Wild West cosplay so much.

Just amazing. It features Johnny Hybrid of Hybrid Cosplay along with Yami Let‘s Robin. The photography is by MineralBLU. That gun has bat wings. Those costumes. Epic!
