Boba Fett / Wonder Woman Cosplay

Boba Fett Wonder Woman Cosplay
You’ve never seen Wonder Woman like this. Or Boba Fett for that matter. Cosplayer Alkali Layke made this awesome costume that combines two of our favorites, Wonder Woman and Boba Fett. Do we call her Wonder Fett? Boba Woman? I have no idea, but that costume looks amazing. She prefers her Lasso of Truth to a blaster. Layke thinks this is her best work ever and we agree.

Awesome Job Alkali!

Purr-Fect Catwoman 1966 Cosplay

Purr-Fect Catwoman 1966 Cosplay
Kimette not only looks purr-fect cosplaying as Catwoman from the Batman 1966 TV series, but she gives Julie Newmar a run for her money. These images are sure to bring a smile to your face. Kimette is perfectly playful and fantastically feline as she cats around purrfectly pulling off this retro Catwoman cosplay.

It makes me wish that they were making a retro Batman movie right now so I could have more fantastic eye candy like this.

Batman 1989 Batwing Metal Vehicle Statue

Batman 1989 Batwing Metal Vehicle Statue
Where does he get those wonderful toys? Well, it does help if you are a billionaire. Remember that scene from the 1989 Batman film when the Batwing vehicle showed up on screen? This Batman 1989 Batwing Metal Vehicle Statue from Quantum Mechanix celebrates that moment in style. This 6-inch wide miniature replica is made of quality metal. It will probably outshine any other Batwing that you have in your collection.

This is one piece of art that Batman fans will not want to miss out on. And you don’t have to be a billionaire to own one. It’s a cool vehicle to begin with, but it just looks so much cooler in metal.

DC Ladies In The Style Of Alphonse Mucha’s The Four Seasons

DC Ladies In The Style Of Alphonse Mucha's The Four Seasons
Artist Allison Sohn recently posted this amazing commission by her husband Adam Hughes. It is a four piece set that shows some lovely DC ladies done in the style of Alphonse Mucha’s “The Four Seasons”. It is an absolutely lovely set.

If you are wondering how he got those amazing colors, these are done in color Copic Marker with colored pencils, some paint, and ink. I would love to own some prints. Hopefully he will make some available for purchase. Maybe he will create more. I love it.

Last month, artist Nathan Sawaya’s full-sized Batmobile made entirely of LEGO bricks was the centerpiece for an art exhibit at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia called The Art of the Brick: DC Comics, and now we can show you more cool stuff that Sawaya created for the event. He made 120 original art pieces and below are just some highlights. They are all great, but I really love his version of The Flash.

It is amazing what you can do with LEGO. It’s one thing to build a little LEGO house and another to build full sized statues.

DC Comics Superheroes Get Old

DC Comics Superheroes Get Old
Shanghai based artist Eddie Liu created this imaginative series that imagines what some DC superheroes might look like if they grew old and were ready for retirement. We know them as young heroes in their prime, but in real life, everyone ages. It’s fascinating seeing such iconic heroes in a new light. These heroes may be old, but just look at them. They can still take care of business.

I think I prefer seeing our heroes as older rather than seeing them laid to rest.

Photos of Wonder Woman From George Miller's Justice League Movie
As you may already know, Mad Max director George Miller was set to direct a Justice League movie for Warner Bros. several years ago. The project ended up being canceled, but from some of the stories I’ve heard, this could have been an amazing movie. It was called Justice League: Mortal. The cast included Armie Hammer as Batman, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter, and Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord.

Obviously we never got to see anything from this movie since it was over soon after it began, but now we have some photos from the development process of the film. They clue us in on what Miller’s version of Wonder Woman was going to look like. These photos show Megan Gale in costume, and I have to say she has a wonderful vintage classic look. I love that the red looks very bronze-like. It goes great with that blue skirt.
