Haunted Arkham Asylum Print

haunted Arkham Asylum Print
This is a clever take on Arkham Asylum. This Haunted Arkham Asylum print is a fun version of the paintings from the stretching room in Disney’s haunted mansion. Yeah, I think it’s much better as a haunted Arkham with Batman and friends.

It is an 11″x17″ color print printed on metallic pearl paper. This will look amazing wherever you display it.

Students Create Awesome Star Trek Graduation Covers

star trek graduation covers
The Batesville Class of 2015 from Arkansas has some grade A nerds in their midst and they decided to do something super cool for their graduation covers. Ross Jones took care of the setup and photography, Lauren Jones did the makeup, Lua Jones coordinated the shoot and Matt Baker did layout and photoshop. The end result are some graduation covers worthy of Starfleet Academy. Great job guys and gals.

Superheroes Drawn As Adorable Kids

superheroes as kids
We are used to seeing superheros in times of crisis. Kicking butt, taking names, wrestling with grown up issues. So it’s refreshing to see some of our favorite heroes as kids, hard at play rather than the tough work of cleaning up the streets.

These illustrations come from artist Alberto Varanda and they are bound to make you smile. They have a bit of a Norman Rockwell vibe. Enjoy.

These Star Wars Paintings Capture Kids Using Their Imagination

star wars kids art

Nothing beats the imagination of a child. I don’t know how many hours I spent pretending that I was Luke Skywalker. These paintings by Craig Davison capture that very spirit.

When a child uses their imagination, nothing can stop them and the adventures that they have are unlike anything else. Somehow these paintings really capture what it means to be a kid growing up with Star Wars.

Adam Savage Builds A Near Perfect Star Trek Captain’s Chair

Adam Savage ordered a Star Trek Captains chair online, but it wasn’t as awesome as he thought it would be. So he built his own. He used various build plans that are available online, and customized it with features seen in the Star Trek series.

It may not be 100% accurate, but it is pretty damn close. Check out the video below. He added some of his own nice touches too. Like a drawer underneath for accessories, and the weird viewer thing on the arm of the chair from the pilot episode.

Star Wars Pixar Trading Cards

The talented Phil Postma did these excellent Star Wars cards based on Topps’ series 1 trading cards from 1977, only from the perspective that Pixar did Star Wars. These cards are awesome. And this is exactly what Star wars would look like if Pixar had created the movie.

I would love to see his take on some of the other series of Star wars cards. The art is top notch.

Fan Builds Amazing Life-Size Hulkbuster Armor

Fan Builds Amazing Life-Size Hulkbuster Armor

Oh. My. God. I am gonna need a bigger garage if I ever want some Hulkbuster armor this extreme. This life-size Hulkbuster armor was built by a 26-year-old teacher in China named Xing Yile. Awesome stuff like this doesn’t happen overnight. It took two months for him to build this thing. He did have the help of an assistant, but still. This thing is unreal.

It stands 3.4-meters tall and weighs half a ton. They also built a smaller sized Iron Man as a companion piece so you can get an idea of scale I guess. Small Iron Man and gargantuan Hulkbuster armor.

Justice League Tarot Cards

Justice League Tarot Cards
These Justice League Tarot Cards may just let you see into the future. Deal the cards and take in the amazing art while divining the secrets to come. The art on this set of tarot cards is just outstanding.

Each card features a stylized illustration of the Justice League. This set is one of the coolest tarot card sets I have seen in a long time. It comes with a velvet bag to store your cards in when not in use. I see many movies in DCs future.
