Stormtroopers Posing With Whisky Bottles

If you were ever curious about what Stormtroopers do on their off time, Atlanta photographer and whisky connoisseur Brett of the Scotch Trooper Instagram page has some ideas. They are whisky elves. In this series of photographs, he brings Star Wars and whisky together and it really is a great combination. Before giving short reviews of a whisky, Brett sometimes captures photos of stormtroopers or other characters posing with the bottle of whisky and helping with the whole process. This is a fun series that shows these Imperial minions in a whole new light.

Yoda As A Sith Lord

Yoda is a very powerful Jedi master. Have you ever thought about what it would be like if he turned to the dark side? I know that I’ve contemplated this, but I could never have imagined such an evil creature as this. I don’t even want to think about what Yoda as a Sith Lord would do. This awesome art was created by Daryl Mandryk.

Can you even imagine the damage that dark Yoda would do to the galaxy? This Yoda is scary beyond belief. He would make Vader look like a youngling.

Dynamic Mosaic Superhero Art

This art series from Sergey Serebrennikov shows three of our favorite Superheroes in action. The mosaic effect creates movement and a sense of action, making these scenes every bit as good as a video clip. I really like the style and I wonder if he could use this effect in larger scenes. It is really interesting to the eye.

Beautiful Empire Strikes Back Hand Painted Wood Box

RFabiano created this amazing and intricately detailed wood box with an Empire Strikes Back Theme. It is entirely woodburned and painted by hand. I wish I had this kind of talent. The top of the lid has an epic scene depicting many of the events from the movie. The sides of the box have some quotes from the movie. This is the kind of item that looks great on your desk or in a prominent place in your home. You can store some of your favorite Star Wars items inside.

Star Wars Characters Done In Chinese Art Style

These paintings by Hong Kong illustrator Tik Ka, mix Star Wars characters with Chinese art style. The end result is a collection of cute and adorable art done in a blended style we don’t see very often. These pieces have so many details that are easily missed the first time you see them, but look again and things jump out at you. These are very playful, yet there’s a certain amount of seriousness here too. There’s something about this that I love.

Sometimes simple lines can make a dramatic statement. Take these awesome logo animations by Montreal artists Simon Lagneau and Sylvain Rogé of Baboon Creation. They created some really eye-catching animations of popular superhero logos. These are just simple lines, but they are super effective at getting your attention when animated beautifully. Artist Aurelio Lorenzo created this screenprinted poster for the 2009 J.J Abrams movie, as a private commission for some lucky person. He takes New-Trek and gives it some retro old Trek vibes. I love the comic book palette and the fact that there is so much going on in this poster. It has action all over it.
