Thomas Kinkade was known as the “Painter of Light”. He painted realistic, idyllic subjects, usually cottages in the countryside. Peaceful settings. At least until the empire invaded.

Jeff Bennett has created the “War of Kinkade” series, which has Star Wars invading Kinkade’s works of art. The end result pleases me. We need to see this kind of tranquil setting invaded by the empire in the movies.

Rhys Cooper created this amazing “Our Ladies of Sci-Fi” art triptych featuring the trinity of female science-fiction icons that include Ellen Ripley from Alien, Sarah Connor from Terminator and Leeloo from The Fifth Element. These are just perfect. I think that Sarah Connor is my favorite, but together, this trio is just stunning. I’d love to have this on my wall.
