This series from artist Butcher Billy is a mash-up of war photography and vintage comics. The images are striking and may well have come from some strange alternate history that none of us is aware off. This is an amazing collision of worlds. Very powerful, with many layers of meaning.

Artist Truck Torrence’s company 100% Soft makes kawaii pop art and has designed the official Star Wars and Marvel Studios emojis that you’ve seen around. Well, you can see his work in person, until September 17th. He has a solo exhibition happening right now at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles called “Mass Hysteria 2”. It features all new pop culture works including a 5-foot long Mad Max Fury Road piece that is just beyond adorable! The Star Wars piece is pretty awesome too. Check it out.

Artist Mustafa Raza created this fun art series called “Mirror War.” It’s really unique and amazing. Each piece shows a DC character facing off with a character from Marvel. The characters mirror each other perfectly. I love the colors and each one is like seeing the beginning of a spectacular battle.
This is a fun art series from Juliana Rojas showing superheroes with their attributes that make them unique. For instance, Captain America has his shield and pajamas, while Thor is handy with a hammer and has great hair. Too cute.
There’s something very satisfying about Kevin Taylor’s Fellow Travelers series. These illustrations feature stylized renderings of space travelers from literature, movies, games, and more. They are playful and simple, but they evoke a sense of nostalgia as soon as you look at them.
These Minimalist Sci-Fi Poster Art Prints from CultPoster are very well done. Each one depicts the subject movie perfectly, with all kinds of nice little touches. These unique characatures are from artist Alex Gallego. The vibrant colors and warped style will make you feel like you have been transported to another universe where things are more than slightly askew. Either that or they look like an LSD trip. We love what Alex is doing. Hopefully he will create more Scifi inspired art to go with these.
