What is the most anticipated DC Universe movie of the moment? Justice League? No. They better go for less realistic and dark. They better go for cute. Meet the Powerpuff League. They make crime fighting adorable. Sadly, this is not the cartoon movie that we will be getting. But it is the one we deserve.
Scott Park knocks it out of the park with this series of pop culture vehicles that have been given Mad Max makeovers. We featured some of Scott’s other Mad Max vehicles in the past. Zimbio asked artist Isaiah Stephens to put together a few pieces showing what Star Wars mashed up with Disney characters would look like. He did not disappoint. These illustrations are pretty awesome. These Disney princesses look right at home in a galaxy far, far away. Maleficent as Darth Vader is perfect.

We all know that superheroes are drawn to look fairly perfect bodywise. But what if they looked a bit more like the average American? Well, Bulimia.com has created this series to see what that would look like. Honestly, I think they look pretty awesome both ways. It’s nice to see these guys and gals with a bit more meat on their bones though.

Andrew Tarusov has imagined what superheroes would look like if they were illustrated by Tim Burton. They are pretty cool and you can totally see them as an animated Tim Burton superhero cartoon. I would love to see Tim Burton do these as a TV series. That would be awesome. Probably never happen, sadly.
Science Fiction always has a lot to say about the future and if you want to keep track of the future and when these shows and movies happened, this handy infographic will help. This is the Future according to Science Fiction. It goes from 2012 all the way up to 932045.
We’re blown away by these awesome scifi posters from Craig Drake. Recently, the artist had his third solo show with art from a whole bunch of scifi properties. It sounds like it was quite the event. The entrance had themed drinks and lighting that matched Ex Machina’s dance scene. Inside, many of the posters were illuminated with LEDs. There was even a real 1966 Batmobile. Now I’m sorry I missed it, but at least we can admire his amazing art.

Recently, ArtStation had a competition with Industrial Light & Magic asking some of the world’s best artists to “imagine key moments, new vehicle designs, character and droid designs, and epic battles within the Star Wars universe”. Well, the winners have been announced, and the art is pretty amazing. Naturally, the best entries came from men and women who work on Hollywood movies and video games. Some of these are a very different take on Star Wars and really make you think. You can check out more at the link below. It is fun to see some fresh takes on this universe.
