This Diamond Studded Gold BB-8 Is Worth $135,000

I guess we know what the BB stands for in BB-8. It must mean Bling Bling. That is one shiny droid. Definitely the one I’m looking for. No Jedi mind trick can sway me. However, the price certainly puts a damper on my enthusiasm. Disney Consumer Products and Kay Jewelers have teamed up to create a stunning new interpretation of the new droid in gold and diamonds.

It took 600 hours to create and it has been valued at $135,000. This luxury version of the droid is just 4.25″ high and weighs just over 1.5 lbs. Made from 18-carat yellow gold, this piece has around 860 diamonds which amounts to 18 carats. This little and expensive droid will be displayed at the Force 4 Fashion exhibit in New York and auctioned off for charity later this month. Even R2-D2 wasn’t this valuable when he had the Death Star plans.

Sixth Scale Star Wars Drop Ship By Hot Toys

Hot Toys has really been going crazy lately and their plan seems to be “the bigger, the better”. Remember that 18 foot Millennium Falcon and cockpit? How about a Drop Ship that measures about 12 feet? A few days back, Hot Toys unveiled a sixth scale diorama at the Times Square in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. This phenomenal display includes that 18 foot long Millennium Falcon along with some new surprises.

Check out that First Order drop ship that we have seen in the trailers for The Force Awakens. It is a highly detailed and accurate version of the ship as far as we can tell. Every bit as cool as their other large ships. It probably won’t be produced commercially, but man, I would love to play with these huge toys. The sixth scale figs look amazing with these ships.

Captain Phasma Sixth Scale Figure By Hot Toys

The release date of Star Wars: The Force Awakens draws ever closer and now the Captain Phasma Sixth Scale Figure By Hot Toys is available for Pre-order. She is in her distinctive metallic armor, looking dangerous and oh so shiny. She stands approximately 13″ tall and features the character’s signature chrome colored armor and helmet with specially applied multiple layers of metallic paint on the armor along with weathering effects.

There is also a finely tailored cape, highly detailed blaster rifle, and a hexagonal figure stand with the First Order’s emblem! This one will definitely stand out in your collection.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century Starfighter Limited Edition 1:24 Scale Statue

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century was a really bad show. Let’s be honest. The 80s were a strange time and a lot of weird stuff happened. Now that doesn’t mean that I don’t have love for this show. It gave us a lot of cool and fun stuff like Twiki, Hawk, and some cool starships. So, bad as it is, it still holds a special place in my heart. That’s why I am drooling over this Buck Rogers in the 25th Century Starfighter Limited Edition 1:24 Scale Statue.

It is cast from the original studio scale patterns and comes fully wired to light the engines and the interior console. It really is a beautiful ship. Buck Rogers is in the cockpit! This stunning replica statue measures 22-inches long x 13-inches wide x 9-inches tall when on the base, and is limited to only 200 pieces worldwide!

This Full-Sized X-Wing Is Parked At A Singapore Airport

How would you like to sit in an X-wing cockpit? Well, if you find yourself in Singapore over the next few weeks, you can stop by Changi Airport, where there is a full sized X-Wing at terminal 3. You can even sit in it and get a picture.

This opportunity is on a first-come first-served basis. 80 tickets are given out for each time slot. That would be a very cool opportunity to actually sit in an X-Wing cockpit. There’s also a TIE-Fighter in Terminal 2. I’m booking a flight to Singapore.
