Boba Fett may have fallen into the Sarlacc Pit in Return of The Jedi, but as we all know, that wasn’t the end of the bounty hunter. We know from the EU material that he survived, even if we didn’t get to see it on film. This artwork by DanLuVisi gives us a glimpse of his struggle. I mean, we all knew that Boba Fett wasn’t about to go down without a fight right? No way a Sarlacc is keeping him down. This art is all kinds of awesome.
As geeks we love a good mashup and this is a good one. Star Wars Stormtroopers and Darth Vader mashed up with Mobile Suit Gundam? Of course the results are going to be amazing. These custom-made Star Wars Gundam figures were created by Korean Gundam fan Kunho Noh. He basically took Stormtrooper models and modified them with Gundam armor. These are some hardcore Imperial lackeys. You can see some of his work below along with some video. These Stormtroopers look a lot more militaristic that’s for sure. I love all of the little weathering details on the armor.

Artist Kretschmer Kreativ built this stunningly beautiful replica model of the USS Enterprise entirely out of wood. All I can say is that this ship is some serious eye candy. A real class act. I can easily see this fitting in with the other ships in Captain Picard’s ready room. It is just so lovely.
It measures 36 inches and he used all natural wood grain with no paint at all. The different colors are different woods. Apparently he is selling this one for $3000., but if you want to build one the instructions are at the link.
Mark Collins created these awesome art pieces that show a few of the Adventure Time characters along with the wisdom that they dispense. Our heroes from the land of Ooo are pretty wise. You would be wise to heed their words.
Here we have Finn, Jake and Lumpy Space Princess all spouting their wisdom. Although LSP’s nugget of wisdom is debatable. I hope the artist creates more. There are so many good lines and wise phrases from the show.
Boldly take your friendship to the next level with this cool Star Trek Friendship Necklace. You and your BFF are going to love it. Two friends, one Star Trek necklace. Because sometimes the needs of the pair outweigh the needs of the one. The two pieces joined together form one Delta symbol. Across both halves it says “I Have Been And Always Shall Be Your Friend.”
Artist Evgeny Rusolovski created this awesome Star Wars African Totem version of C-3PO. This is certainly one of the most unique takes on the droid that I have seen in a while. I would love to see what the artist could do with other Star Wars characters as totems.
Totem or no totem, never tell me the odds. I bet this is what an Ewok created statue would look like by the time they have made temples and worshiped 3PO for many years.
I really miss Farscape, so I was excited to come across this painting based on the show. This painting was inspired by the painting on Farscape in season 1 that Zan makes of Rygel. It was made using over a dozen screen captures that were put together and carefully taken apart, then reassembled one color at a time to make it as accurate as possible. They did an awesome job.
The Fifth Element comes to life in this stunningly colorful art print by artist Dan Mumford. It is one of the most iconic sci-fi movies of the 90’s and this beautifully rendered image shows off Mumford’s detailed scratch board like technique. This is perfect for any wall in a fan’s home. It measures 27-inches wide by 40-inches high and uses 100 lb satin-finish paper. Just lovely.
Fans of Magic: The Gathering are going to love this card set. WhinyTortoise created 285 Star Wars Magic: The Gathering cards and every single one is awesome. I love the artwork more than the art on actual Magic cards.
This deck has it’s own artwork and mechanics based on Star Wars. For instance, the Jedis have a “Meditation” ability, which lets players return cards to their hands. “Repair” allows your droids to cast their cards repeatedly even after leaving play. There are other mechanics aside from those too. If you are interested, there is a print sheet in pdf form. It appears to be fully playable although I doubt it has been play tested. This looks like a fun version of the game.

Fans of The X-Files who are in the Los Angeles area will want to check this out. iam8bit and Poster Posse are hosting a gallery exhibition called “Conspiracies, Monsters, and Mythology” that’s dedicated to the sci-fi TV series. The opening night celebration was last night and the exhibition will run until February 14th.
It features the work of more than 30 artists. This is some really nice X-Files art. A few of our favorites are below.
