This art mixes Star Wars and Regency era art to create something really breathtaking and original. It was created by artist The Real McGee. I hope they create many more. If there are two things that summarize the best parts of my childhood, they would be the vintage Star Wars action figures from Kenner and the Star Wars trading cards. I collected as many as I could find of both. So imagine my surprise when I came across this. Matt Davenport’s homemade Star Wars figure trading cards are awesome. He recreates these vintage cards using vintage Kenner action figures.
They look so good you would swear they came out of the packages and have a bubble gum smell. Matt is a news anchor in Idaho and obviously he has been a Star Wars fan his whole life. The idea came to him when he was taking pictures of his toys. I would so love to collect these cards.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive next month, but let’s not forget where the recent Superman reboot began. Zack Snyder’s 2013 film Man of Steel. That movie inspired this cool Man of Steel armor, designed by Samuel Lee of Prince Armory. I love that Kryptonian symbol on the front, which is the focal point of this leather-constructed recreation of old medieval-style armor.
This armor includes a cool helmet too. That’s right, it is all leather and it looks like it came straight out of some concept art for the film. This is an amazing creation.

Artist Phill Berry is responsible for this series of Disney Princesses as Jedi from the Star Wars universe. All of these women look so badass and I love the style. Phill has a very unique take on this mashup theme which you have probably seen done before. When Phill does it, he injects a unique style and level of detail into his work that makes each of these pieces come alive. It would be awesome if Disney merged there two franchises into something like this.

I’m amazed that this has not been thought of before. This is a brilliant idea and whoever makes it would make a ton of money. It is just a cool concept for the moment created by Dave’s Geeky Ideas. It is a toolkit that resembles Thor’s Mjolnir, allowing you to carry your tools in the mightiest way possible.
It has storage for several tools and an actual hammer with a handle resembling Thor’s Mjolnir sticks out to complete the illusion that you are carrying the mighty weapon.
I’ve seen a lot of women with beautiful hair, but I have to say this Gamora inspired hair is really lovely. I’m not sure you can just walk into a salon and say, “Give me the Gamora!”, but however you ladies do it, I’d like to see more of this. At least you know that Samantha Richards will do it for you. She is a geek who does beautiful work.

I don’t think I could ever get tired of seeing these characters riding these kiddie vehicles. Buenos Aires, Argentina based artist In Rainhead created this cool Doctor Who pixel art featuring some of our favorite elements from the show. There’s the sonic screwdriver, a cyberman, a Dalek and the TARDIS. These put me in the mood to play an old Doctor Who video game. It’s too bad that my choices are severely limited. We need more Doctor Who video games. These are cute.
