First Mega Bloks Star Trek Construction Sets

First Mega Bloks Star Trek Construction Sets
We had news earlier this year that Mega Bloks had secured the license to produce Star Trek construction toys. They aren’t LEGO, but hey, all of the images you see here are awesome, so how can you complain? At NYCC they are showing off the Enterprise and two other sets that will be released in the fall of 2016.

The biggest set is the USS Enterprise, which will apparently be over three thousand pieces and have light up nacelles to boot! It comes with two figurines: Kirk and Spock in dress uniforms. This ship is a 1/350 scale set that will cost $250. If you want something more affordable but no less cool, the Klingon D7 class will be $30. This one also comes with a figure, a Klingon obviously with a banner of the Empire on a display base.

The coolest one as far as I’m concerned is the transporter room from the mirror universe, featuring mirror Kirk and Spock, and a mid-transport Scotty. This set lights up with glow-in-the-dark elements. Also the mirror universe designs can be flipped around to make it look like the prime universe transporter room.

These are some awesome sets, that’s for sure. The bottom image is a Command chair made using Mega Blocks that is on display at NYCC.

Millennium Falcon Concept Car

millennium falcon car
The Millennium Falcon as a car looks like a million bucks. Or a million galactic credits, Whichever is worth more. I’m no good at currency conversion. This is a concept from artist roobi and it looks outstanding. I think Hot Wheels needs to hire this guy and up their Star Wars car designs.

In a car like this you just have to do your best to avoid any Imperial entanglements, not that the cops could catch you. All I know is, I don’t want to be anywhere near this thing when it goes to hyper drive.

Doctor Who TARDIS Cardboard Cat House

Doctor Who TARDIS Cardboard Cat House
Let your cat experience what it’s like to be the Doctor with this awesome Doctor Who TARDIS Cardboard Cat House. A Police Public Cat Box, if you will. Who knows if it is truly bigger on the inside, since humans can’t fit through the door.

Your cat will embark on his or her greatest adventure ever. In fact they will likely start to age much slower than you. Don’t be surprised when this TARDIS de-materializes one day. Don’t worry. Your cat will be back.

Star Wars Infographic: Droids and Machines and Their Real-Life Counterparts

droid info
Check out this interesting Star Wars infographic that focuses on the droids in the Star Wars universe and their real-life counterparts.

Droids are a common sight in the galaxy far,far away and here on Earth, humanity is catching up. We may not have droids as sophisticated as the ones from Star Wars, but we are getting there. It won’t be long until we are all a bunch of Jawas just scavenging parts to survive.

Doctor Who Dalek Hanging Towel Set

Doctor Who Dalek Hanging Towel Set
The only way to truly exterminate wet hands in the kitchen is to be armed with this awesome set of Doctor Who Dalek Hanging Towels. I think they are pretty adorable. These towels measure about 11 inches wide by 18 inches long.

The set includes a blue, red, white, and yellow Dalek towel. If you want a different color, you can request it and they will make it for you. They are 100% cotton and machine washable and dryable. These make a great housewarming gift.

Hellboy and Darth Maul Cosplay Mashup

Hellboy and Darth Maul Cosplay Mashup
I’ve never been a big fan of Darth Maul, but mix him up with Hellboy and I think he’s pretty awesome now. this imaginative cosplay mashup combines Hellboy with Darth Maul and though I’ve never given it much thought, they really do make a great combination.

Naturally this guy is called Sithboy. The cosplay was created by Luis Projects, while the photos were taken by James Rulison. This guy has his double-bladed lightsaber and his guns. He’s ready to rumble. Great job.

Looks Like R2-D2 Borrowed Darth Vader’s Helmet

Looks Like R2-D2 Borrowed Darth Vader's Helmet
UK based artist Bea Toa created this cool illustration that depicts Darth Vader’s helmet after R2-D2 borrowed it and gave it a makeover. The droid has a nice sense of humor and a great eye for art. R2’s work here actually gives us a look into the droid’s mind and it’s weird.

He obviously wants to be BFFs with Vader and even writes that he misses Vader and asks him to “Come back to us”. While at the same time, the droid gets his digs in with “Luke is a better pilot” and calling him a traitor. I guess R2 is one messed up droid. It’s awesome.
