Incredible Ghostbusters Concept Art

Incredible Ghostbusters Concept Art
The designs and cool creatures that you see in Ghostbusters had to start somewhere. We have the amazing concept art of Henry Mayo to thank, as well as Thom Enriquez, John Deveikis and others. You can check it all out in Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History. We’ve mentioned the book before, but check out some of the images here.

Witness some of the drawings that led to the creation of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer. I’m always fascinated with how these things evolve. It’s interesting to see the creative process. I almost wish we had gotten a more evil looking Stay Puft Marshmallow Man after seeing this.

Star Wars: Fashion Icons of the Galaxy

Star Wars Fashion Icons of the Galaxy
Check out our favorite Star Wars characters as fashion icons. I guarantee that you have never seen Luke, Yoda and the rest of the gang like this before. This is the work of Taipei City, Taiwan based artist Bam! Bam! Bam! I really like what he did here. I love seeing some of my favorite heroes and villains in ways that I have never seen them before.

Even Chewy is getting in on the act and you don’t often see him wearing any clothes.

Geeky Hockey Jersey Concepts

Geeky Hockey Jersey Concepts
Sean Tourangeau is obviously a huge Hockey fan as well as being a geek. So he combined both of those passions to create this awesome set of geek themed Hockey jerseys. They include everything from a Star Trek team with Riker(Who is appropriately number 01) to Bruce Wayne’s jersey from the Gotham Bats. I especially like the Star Trek Red Shirts team jersey and the Transformer versions.

This reminds me that we need more geek-themed sports teams. Get on that DC and Marvel. And the rest of you. The players could cosplay while playing their sport.

Super Realistic Christopher Eccleston Doctor Who Figure

Super Realistic Christopher Eccleston Doctor Who Figure
I haven’t seen the 9th Doctor looking so good since he was the 9th Doctor. This is a truly welcome addition to the rest of the Doctor Who lineup, because you just don’t see many figures and toys depicting number 9. And that sculpt is super realistic. Look at that jacket! This 1/6th scale 9th Doctor from Big Chief Studio is just amazing.

He has his leather jacket, sonic screwdriver, a second optional shirt and bunch of accessories: Banana, TARDIS key, the Psychic Paper and a Spider-Droid in both open and closed form. It is available for pre-order on Big Chief’s website. Fantastic! He is the Doctor that kicked things off in the new era. He deserves more cool figures like this one.

Beyoncé Dresses Up as X-Men's Storm
We aren’t big on celebrity news around here, which is the way we all like it, but when Beyoncé dresses up as Storm from the X-Men we pay attention. We do like cosplay after all. Check out the costume that she rocked at Ciara’s 30th birthday party recently. I’ve never pictured her as Storm, but I have to say she makes a great X-Man. Maybe she will get to play the character one day. After seeing these images I might be okay with that.

Kylo Ren And Boba Fett Motorcycles

Kylo Ren And Boba Fett Motorcycles
We’ve seen Tamás Jakus’ work before. He designs some killer motorcycles based on some of our favorite movies. You might remember his CHAPPiE bike that we featured awhile back. Now he is back with a few new designs.

That black beauty you see above is clearly based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens baddie Kylo Ren. It is called the Jakusa Equus Kylo. Below is an awesome Boba Fett inspired bike. I can totally see Boba Fett riding that thing while pursuing his bounty on some far away planet. This bike is just stunning.

Back To The Future 2 Delorean LED Color Changing Desk Lamp

back to the future delorean
This DeLorean Back To The Future LED Lamp just arrived from the past in search of your desk. If you love these LED lamps and also love Back To The Future, you need this lamp in your home. It comes with an RGB remote for changing the color and you can even make it flash if your having a BTTF themed party.

Great Scott that’s a great lamp. Why go just 88 MPH when this LED DeLorean goes the speed of light?

Doctor Who Meets Star Wars In These Cool Posters

doctor who star wars posters 1
FPArtistry has created some really fantastic mashup posters featuring Doctor Who and Star Wars. I love what he did with the original Star Wars trilogy posters. Especially A New Hope featuring the ninth doctor, Rose and a Dalek. I have to have these now! I also like “The Dead Awaken” which is Star Wars: The Force Awakens combined with the Series 8 two-part finale of Doctor Who (Dark Waters and Death in Heaven).

Check out the rest of the posters on sale. They make some amazing stuff.

Deadpool and Cable Go Back To The Future

deadpool and cable
Last week was Back To The Future overkill as we all celebrated the arrival of Doc Brown and Marty McFly in our time, their future. Marvel Comics got in on the fun too and released the cover art for Deadpool and Cable: Split Second #2. It was created by artist Reilly Brown who may be the son of Doc Brown for all we know. Obviously this cover pays homage to the poster for the classic time-traveling adventure film. That taxi is no Delorean however.

Deadpool and Cable: Split Second #1 is out right now. The second issue doesn’t come out until January. I love this tribute to one of my favorite movie franchises.

Weird Star Wars Pop Tart Art

Weird Star Wars Pop Tart Art
There’s nothing tastier than a warm Pop-Tart, except maybe a Star Wars themed Pop Tart. I know these Star Wars treats look delicious, but you can’t eat them. You can display them. Although I’ve always heard you shouldn’t play with your food.

These strange art pieces from YouArtWhatYouEat look like the tasty pastries you know and love, they just have Star Wars themes. The Han in carbonite version is best served cold. Of course. If you were able to eat it.
