Check out this retro alternative art poster for Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space odyssey. It comes from Philippines based artist Dianne Aguas and I just love the design. It looks like one of the computer consoles from the movie, with some of the computer screens and an image of the monolith.
It’s easy to believe that this could be seen displayed in theaters in the 1960s. Sadly, it appears that this poster is not available to purchase, which is a good thing because I don’t have enough room for all of the cool stuff that I want.

We have in our minds certain iconic images of our favorite heroes. And illustrator Greg Guillemin is challenging the way we look at our heroes by making them more human. His ongoing series, “The Secret Life of Heroes”, shows us what these heroes do when they aren’t busting bad guys and saving the world.
They are just like you and me. For instance, Spider-Man eats a hamburger, itches his crotch and plays video games. Captain America laments the fact that his clothing is made in China. And Superman takes Viagra. Check out his website for more cool stuff.
These Darth Vader And R2-D2 Showerheads may be taking merchandising a bit too far. Then again, if your love of Star Wars extends to the shower as well as every other part of your life, you may want to get yourself a Star Wars showerhead.

I really like these unique Stormtrooper And Boba Fett Leather Cuffs from Dalamor. They have a lot of depth and character for leather cuffs. And some really nice detailing. My only complaint is that they don’t offer more characters, but that’s okay. These are pretty amazing. They did a great job on Boba Fett, using the dyeing and coloring to reproduce all of the details on the actual prop helmet.
Batman is one of those rare heroes whose villains are just as recognizable as he is. Most of them anyway. You may know the first appearances of popular villains like The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and a few others. But I bet you don’t know the first appearances of some of his more obscure foes.
Like Catfoot Regan, Captain Calamity, Penny Plunderer, or Mr. Camera. You are forgiven. These guys aren’t very well known. This handy infographic from Halloweencostumes should help.
I’m not sure I would call the Doctor and the Daleks BFFs, but then again they both do seem to thrive off of their heated relationship. So maybe they are soulmates. It makes sense I guess.
