Hey, Transformers fans. We have a new international TV spot for the Bumblebee film. It’s packed full of new footage including a look at Optimus Prime, Soundwave, Ravage. I have to be honest, this looks way better than any of the Michael Bay movies. It looks like we can expect some decent character development. And you gotta love the Transformer designs from the original animated series. Fans have been waiting for this one!
This creative and talented father and son team build giant Transformers statues out of trash. And they look awesome. You know, considering that they are made out of trash. Specifically scrapmetal. Check out the video.
In 2010, Chinese farmer Yu Zhilin and his son Yu Lingyun opened up their own metalworking shop in the country’s Hunan Province. Inspired by the futuristic robots from the movie “Transformers,” the pair began fashioning original statues from scrap metal. Their first design took about a month and a half to build, but they’ve since created an impressive array of statues, giving new life to discarded car parts along the way. It’s not just the success of their new business that makes this father-son duo happy; the craft itself has brought them closer together.

Here is what you didn’t even know you were missing. A Transformers book where the robots actually transform. Matthew Reinhart and Emiliano Santalucia have created one excellent book here. It celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Transformers toy line. It features pop-up paper versions of Autobots and Decepticons. Many of them completely transform. How cool is that?

Any kid that grew up in the ’80s watched their share of Transformers and these days still can’t get enough. These posters were created by Mike Choi and the first features Optimus Prime with the slogan, “Till All Are One.” The second one features Megatron and the slogan, “Peace Through Tyranny.”
If Transformers were politicians, it would be easy. Always elect Optimus Prime. Always. Never Megatron. Both are by Mike Choi. I really love the style.
No matter what your political views are, I think we can all agree on one thing: World leaders are way better as Transformers. Here’s proof. Azerbaijani based digital artist Gunduz Aghayev created this unique series, turning well known leaders into Transformers. These robots are hardly in disguise and if I’m honest, all politicians are Decepticons rather than Autobots. This is a fun series.

Sean Tourangeau is obviously a huge Hockey fan as well as being a geek. So he combined both of those passions to create this awesome set of geek themed Hockey jerseys. They include everything from a Star Trek team with Riker(Who is appropriately number 01) to Bruce Wayne’s jersey from the Gotham Bats. I especially like the Star Trek Red Shirts team jersey and the Transformer versions.
This reminds me that we need more geek-themed sports teams. Get on that DC and Marvel. And the rest of you. The players could cosplay while playing their sport.
Artist Miguel Camilo started this project in the Fall of 2012 and he never completely finished it. This was going to be a poster featuring all of these Transformers, but he has revisited the project now and turned them into a series of retro Trading cards.
I approve. I would have totally collected these when I was a kid. Heck, I would collect them now.
This Transformers Optimus Prime (Starscream Version) Transformers Collectible Figure is insane. Transformers Generation 1 all the way. Optimus stands about 12″ tall and it’s no joke when it comes to the detail on this thing. It has nice distressed effects, a pair of Starscream’s wings, weapons, and a rocky ground diorama base with the Autobots logo. I know I’m a nerd, but I think I’m in love.
The colors! The textures! It’s a must have for Transformers fans. God, this thing looks good.
