Hero-Glyphics Hieroglyph Style Art

If the ancient Egyptians worshiped Comic Book characters and Sc-Fi icons the way we do, this is exactly what their tombs would look like. Illustrator Josh Ln created this series of geeky hieroglyph style art and very appropriately calls it “Hero-glyphics”.

Best of all, you don’t need to be an Indiana Jones type to decipher them. I mean it’s pretty obvious that Han shot first and that Kirk battled the Gorn. If you like what you see, you can even buy prints from his Society6 store.

Star Wars III: Behind The Scenes Photos

If you are a fan of the Star Wars prequels, check out these fascinating and not-so-often-seen behind the scenes photos. Even if you hate the prequels, you can’t help but respect all of the hard work that went on behind the scenes of this final installment.

Yes it had a ton of CGI, but this movie also had some massive sets and a ton of prop work and models as can be seen in some of the images below.

Bikini Boba Fett Cosplay

This is how I imagine female Mandalorians spending their time on vacation, soaking up the sun and laying on the beach wearing a bikini and a helmet. Not that I’ve given it a ton of thought, mind you, but I’m only human. And a geek.

Anyway, Sandra Memma looks amazing in this Boba Fett bikini Star Wars photoshoot. I really like all of the little details like the Mandalorian tattoo the Wookie braids. The photographer was Sergio Ortega.

Amazing Sci-Fi Ship Replicas Made Using Just Paper

Look at the images below. Do these model of Sci-Fi ships look like paper to you? No way. They look like professional replicas. However, every single one of them is a papercraft creation. They were made by Japanese craftsman uhu02. I am just blown away by the level of detail and the fact that they don’t even look like paper.

He has created an X-Wing, a TIE Interceptor, Viper Mk2, 2001’s Orion and many more! This man is a true artist with paper.

Star Wars: TIE Fighter Crashes On German Highway

A motorist driving in Germany spotted this Tie Fighter with debris all across the highway, while two Stormtroopers stand guard and wait to be picked up. I told all of my friends that Star Wars was real, but they didn’t believe me. Now I have proof! How did they tow that thing away?

The footage was presumably created by a fan of the show and the clip was posted on the Facebook page of the Dein Sky Fim channel. It has proved to be quiet a hit, and has already amassed an astronomic amount of views, in excess of seven million.

Super Emo Star Wars Prints

Etsy seller J. Salvador is a pop kawaii artist. He likes making characters over to be emo. In his shop you will find all kinds of cool stuff, but these Super Emo Star Wars prints are what catches the eye. These are fun and silly and cute, showing all of our favorite characters acting way too emo.

Boba Fett is sad because he was just doing his job. C-3PO asks “Is he my father too?” Poor Greedo laments the fact that his gun wasn’t even loaded. These prints may be sad, but they will make you smile.

Star Wars Polygon Art Pillow Covers

Etsy seller TheRetroInc wants you to decorate your home with images from a galaxy far, far away. These cool pillowcases come with just about any Star Wars character you could want on them, created with polygon art.

They will cost you about $34., but they look so cool that they are totally worth it. It’s a good way to geek up your home and add some Star Wars style. They would look great anywhere. On the bed, on your sofa or wherever you want. I would love to collect them all.

These Bizarre LEGO Mash-Ups Make Awesome Posters

Buenos Aires based Alexandre Tisser created this series of prints for a new campaign titled, Fiction meets Fiction. Many LEGO addicts have switched the heads on their minifigures, kids and adults alike, but Alexandre does it to great effect here.

Homer/Wolverine is the best. He could slice up endless doughnuts as he pops them in his mouth. Vader in a Kimono is pretty awesome too. LEGO once again proves to be a great creative tool for great minds.

Vintage Star Wars Concept Art: The Evolution Of Boba Fett

Boba Fett didn’t originally start out with that design we know and love from Empire and Jedi. The original designs show a bounty hunter that looks closer to a Stormtrooper. Boba Fett’s design evolved during the design phase and eventually became the Mandalorian we know.

You can see the evolution below. It was still cool looking, but less defined. Not as unique. It definitely lacked character and presence. I’m glad it kept evolving, because the instant I saw Fett on screen, I knew this guy was not to be messed with. THIS was a bounty hunter that inspired fear.

Ralph McQuarrie Concept Art For The Original Star Wars Trilogy

I absolutely love Ralph McQuarrie’s concept art from Star Wars and thanks to redditor Join_You_In_The_Sun I am in heaven looking at 100 images of Ralph McQuarrie’s art from the original trilogy.

Below are some of my favorites. I just can’t get enough of his vision of the Star Wars universe. Almost every single painting is epic and they really visually steered Star Wars into what it became on screen. Love these!
