This Death Star cookie jar is fully armed and operational. It should protect your cookies as long as you keep those pesky X-Wings away. Nah. This space station doesn’t have that one unfortunate design flaw. I’m going to keep my chocolate sith cookies in this thing from now on.
Seriously, a geek kitchen without a Death Star cookie jar is something I don’t want to think about. It just doesn’t make any sense, because this cookie jar is awesome. The third try is the charm. This Death Star should survive where the other two failed.
Sci-Fi movies have the coolest props. Like this Blade Runner Whiskey Glass. Now you can own these glasses and drink your whiskey just like Deckard. Shoot some replicants, then enjoy a drink in style while studying some crime scene photos.
These glasses are made from hand-made crystal glass, mouth-blown by artisans at boutique Italian company, Arnolfo di Cambio. They look exactly like the original prop.
This is certainly a first. Don’t tell Kirk and crew, but this building in China looks just like the USS Enterprise from Star Trek. From the ground it just looks like a nice building, but the drone footage from the air shows that it is really a Star Trek ship in dry dock.
It’s actually the headquarters of NetDragon Websoft, a Chinese mobile Internet and gaming company. The company Chairman Liu DeJian is reportedly a Star Trek fan who licensed the rights to construct this Enterprise replica. Construction began in 2008 and was completed in 2014. It cost $160 million in all. This is probably the only Star Trek building/ship in existence.
Adam Savage ordered a Star Trek Captains chair online, but it wasn’t as awesome as he thought it would be. So he built his own. He used various build plans that are available online, and customized it with features seen in the Star Trek series.
It may not be 100% accurate, but it is pretty damn close. Check out the video below. He added some of his own nice touches too. Like a drawer underneath for accessories, and the weird viewer thing on the arm of the chair from the pilot episode.
Oh. My. God. I am gonna need a bigger garage if I ever want some Hulkbuster armor this extreme. This life-size Hulkbuster armor was built by a 26-year-old teacher in China named Xing Yile. Awesome stuff like this doesn’t happen overnight. It took two months for him to build this thing. He did have the help of an assistant, but still. This thing is unreal.
It stands 3.4-meters tall and weighs half a ton. They also built a smaller sized Iron Man as a companion piece so you can get an idea of scale I guess. Small Iron Man and gargantuan Hulkbuster armor.
When I was a kid back in 1977, my favorite droid was R2-D2 of course, but my second favorite was R5-D4. I just really liked the color scheme and the design. R5 was an awesome droid. That’s why Luke almost picked him. Now you can display the best version of R5-D4 that you can buy. This Star Wars R5-D4 Sixth Scale Figure by Sideshow Collectibles is simply stunning.
Slightly larger than R2-D2, Sideshow’s R5-D4 Sixth Scale Figure measures about 8.6 inches tall from antenna to treads. The details are spot on and frankly, have me falling in love with this droid all over again. Every detail of the R5 unit is faithfully replicated, from his desert-worn exterior, to his advanced articulation. Just look at that distinctive head and authentic holographic details. That head can swivel nearly 360 degrees, while a magnetic restraining bolt grants access to a variety of compartments and hinged panels. He also suffers a pop-up “bad motivator,” which is super cool.
He is only $139.99 from Sideshow Collectibles and I’m buying one right away.
This Terminator Genisys Endoskeleton Skull 1:1 Scale Prop Replica is 100% unique to the newest movie Terminator Genisys. It has a completely new sculpture and design by Legacy Effects. This new Endoskeleton was designed digitally as well, with each part printed for laser accuracy and proportion. It is going to look stunning on your desk for sure.
It was produced from the original molds to be as accurate as is possible and set on a museum quality base with lighted eyes. And you just know that those eyes will haunt you. Just like the practical effects Endoskeletons used in the film, these replicas are chrome painted with amazing detail. It measures about 15-inches tall x 8.5-inches wide x 10-inches long. The price is a very reasonable $600.
This Custom Built Light Up Battlestar Galactica is frakkin’ awesome. It was created by OtherWorldModels and is a custom built and painted new-series Moebius Models Battlestar Galactica model kit. However, he put in some amazing upgrades.
Like full hull plating decals, detailed and lit hanger bays, other photo-etched detail pieces, and upgraded guns. Because Galactica needs her guns. I love how those engines glow. You would be proud to have this ship on your desk.
Make your next cosplay one to remember by wearing this Madame Vastra mask. This mask will help you to really capture the Silurian detective in all her glory. Of course you’ll have to supply your own Jenny for a partner and get a nice Victorian dress to go with it.
This mask is $350. from Etsy seller ExtremeKustoms. Try not to get into any fights with Sea Devils, but if you do make sure you get plenty of pictures. We would really like to see that.
