As a nerd, I appreciate well designed toys. Especially since we’ve all seen our share of bad ones. I even love stuff that I would never play with. Like this Wonder Woman Barbie based on Gal Gadot. I just don’t make a habit of playing with dolls. Sorry.
But if I did, I would pick this one up. She has some nice upgrades from her previous version, like a royal blue, gold lamé lined hooded cape, a paneled skirt, and a metallic red bustier. It’s all in the details and they really nailed it here. She also has an updated hairstyle and a cool gold shield. I hope lots of little girls get this one and have fun.
Flash! Ahhh ahhhh! Savior of the universe. All of these years later, I still love that song. And you know what? Cheesy as the 1980s Flash Gordon movie was, it will always have a special place in my heart. That’s why I am excited that Flash Gordon Pop! Vinyl Figures are coming. You can pre-order them now and they will ship in June.
Mega Bloks are releasing a bunch of cool Star Trek toys this year. including figures made of bricks that are called Kubros. The first series of Kubros highlight TOS characters. Spock is first. In fact, he is now available to order directly from Mega Bloks’ online shop. So naturally we have some great images of the toy to show off now. It’s a cool idea for a figure.
This LEGO Xenomorph is the stuff of LEGO nightmares. Look at all of that stunning detail. It even has acid drool on the chin. It is from Spanish LEGO builders the Arvo Brothers. They really are a dynamic duo. It’s hard to imagine how anyone could top this version using just LEGO pieces.
If you want to make one yourself, they have a book detailing the process here. It always amazes me that people can creat such amazing sculptures out of LEGO.
Prepare yourselves for the cutest version of Kylo Ren ever. “The First Knight” is a chibi-style Kylo Ren figure that will go on sale on Sunday, March 6th at 9am SGT via wetworks.bigcartel.com!
The figure is adorable and I love the carding. The first batch is 10 pieces and 2 of them have already been spoken for. I hope he does more figures in this style. This guy is super cute. Which means it will be oh so adorable when he goes all emo and starts destroying stuff.
This Gamora Premium Format Figure By Sideshow Collectibles is as beautiful as she is deadly. She is posed in an action stance that lets everyone know she means business. This stunning detailed figure measures 15″ tall X 15″ wide X 13″ long. Just look at that battle armor. Your collection is not complete without this amazing figure. You can pre-order it right now. This is the Gamora figure you have been waiting for.
This DC Comics Batman Red Son DC Comics Premium Format(TM) Figure is a must for serious Batman fans. Just look at all of that detail. It’s based on the popular Elseworlds mini-series by Mark Millar. Otherwise known as Batmankoff, this alternate reality Batman is a symbol of rebellion, as well as a force of chaos in Superman’s world of perfect order.
He is also the most wanted man in the Soviet Union. I’m not sure which is more beautifully sculpted, this Batman figure or the Superman Red Son version. This one quarter scale Batman is dressed in his hand-tailored militaristic Cold War era costume with his fur-lined hat, utility belt and cape. He comes with a bat-themed grappling hook.
The TARS robot from Interstellar was one of the highlights of the film for me. I just like cool robots. We featured a cool cosplay of TARS awhile back. Now check out this custom LEGO version of the robot.
It is made from 120 LEGO pieces and is fully pose-able in many positions. This would look great on the shelf. Looks like all of the details are just right.
Prepare to be blown away. I can’t even tell you how much I love this DC Comics Superman – Red Son DC Comics Premium Format(TM) Figure. What if Superman had been raised in the Soviet Union instead of the US. What if he became their greatest weapon? That’s right. This is based on Elseworlds mini-series by Mark Millar.
Here the Comrade of Steel shows his true colors, dressed in a red and grey costume which reflects the militaristic Cold War era. The big blue boy scout is now red and stands 25” tall over his Soviet insignia. This figure will be followed up by his ally Wonder Woman and the vigilante Batmankoff. I can’t wait to see those.
