It’s about time that someone mashed up two of our favorite fantasy TV shows. I present to you Game of Adventure, where the Land of Ooo and Westeros are one in the same. I think artist André Só did an amazing job with all of the characters, but I really get a kick of seeing BMO in costume and swinging a sword around. Also Jake is a great Direwolf.
Artist Nate Hallinan created this medieval X-Men character art. This series is called The Order of X and it puts the X-Men in another time and place. These stunning images are just begging to be made into a movie. I’d also love to see some people cosplay these characters. These images are so visually striking.

Amazing Venues created these fun tickets to the greatest fictional events. Maybe you want to attend Daniel-san’s victory at the All-Valley Karate Tournament. Or spend an incredible evening at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance from Back to the Future.
You are going to need tickets. Well, here they are. Now we can imagine what these tickets would look like, even if you can’t experience the events in real life. I think I’ll pass on the Hunger Games and Joffrey’s Stag Do. Some events are better unattended. I’ll just stay home when it comes to those.
Artist Ben Murphy from Cork, Ireland says that this is the first of three mini-projects that is part of his 4th Year Project. The idea is to create the concept art for “Logan’s Run” as if it was being rebooted for this generation of moviegoers. From what I can see on his page, he did an amazing job. Below is just a sample of some of the work that he did.
I really like the costuming of the main characters, the vehicles and the guns. He has a pretty cool vision for what this world would be. I’d love to see his vision in movie form. Even in animation.
These pieces of One Point Perspective art by Italy based Van Orton Design are really colorful and amazing. And very retro. There is so much to love about these.
I could honestly get lost in some of these for hours. Featured are everything from Knight Rider to 2001: A Space Odyssey. I would love these as prints, but at least we get to feast our eyes on them here.
Etsy seller DemiurgusDreams makes many interesting fantasy sculptures, but the ones that really caught our eye are these Avatar creatures. Check out the Tetrapteron and the Dragon Ikran Banshee. These are as lovely as they were in the movie.
You could buy both and start populating your own Pandora. Lovely stuff.
I love these illustrations by Artist Daniel Kamarudin. He took the characters from the Marvel movies and gave them a dark edge with a fantasy theme.
These works of art make me want a Marvel fantasy video game where I can see the “Avengers of the round table” in action. Or maybe a Marvel D and D game. This is some excellent work.
Artist Sean Hartter reimagines classic science fiction films and casts them in an alternate universe, creating some amazing and memorable tributes to midcentury B movie graphics. It’s a great big “What if”. I can definitely see these as movie posters from a parallel dimension.
“I’m a total sci-fi geek,” Hartter says. “These posters are based on the idea that they’re from multiple universes, which frees me up to tinker with time frames and poster design.”
That X-Men poster is especially awesome.

The boulder scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of the all time classic movie scenes. If you ever wondered what went into creating it, check out the new episode of Art of the Scene by CineFix. In this episode they take an in-depth look at the scene from the 1981 fantasy adventure film.
This is a great installment. I had no idea what they used for the sound of the rolling boulder and it is no soooo obvious now. That scene will forever be etched in my mind as one of Dr. Jone’s greatest moments. Check it out. It’s worth the few minutes it takes.
I’m a sucker for Sucker Punch. A lot of people give the film a bad rap, but for my money you will rarely see something so visually stunning and original. So there is no doubt that I am digging this Sucker punch cosplay of Babydoll. This is Mimi Reaves looking adorable and deadly as Babydoll.
I don’t care if you loved the movie or hated it, you have to admit she looks perfect in this cosplay. Awesome job Mimi!
