One of the most memorable characters from the original Blade Runner was Pris. And Crystal Graziano looks amazing in this Blade Runner cosplay of Pris. Aside from having one of the best names ever, Etsy seller BinaryWinter sells all kinds of cool ties.Some of the best are these H.G. Wells War of the Worlds ties and Time Machine ties. As well as the Blade Runner inspired Replicant ties. Check out their shop for even more cool geeky office wear.
Have a look at a bunch of original matte paintings and sketches from Blade Runner. I’ve lost a ton of time just looking at all of these. It’s always fascinating to see where these things began and how they came to be. It’s no wonder Blade Runner’s world was so alive. These paintings and drawings set the scene and tone. I could look at these all day and come away as impressed as I was when I first saw them.

Way back when, people used to make fun of velvet paintings. Rightly so. They were usually tacky things that featured Elvis or a wolf howling at the moon. That was before velvet paintings started getting geeky.
At Gallery1988 in Los Angeles these beautiful paintings done on black velvet were recently on display. The show was titled, “Cult of Personality: a Velvet Art Show from Bruce White”. The painter has taken many sci fi characters and painted them on velvet. Everything from Star wars to Star Trek, to Blade Runner and beyond. They all look amazing.
