Artist Sean Hartter reimagines classic science fiction films and casts them in an alternate universe, creating some amazing and memorable tributes to midcentury B movie graphics. It’s a great big “What if”. I can definitely see these as movie posters from a parallel dimension.

“I’m a total sci-fi geek,” Hartter says. “These posters are based on the idea that they’re from multiple universes, which frees me up to tinker with time frames and poster design.”

That X-Men poster is especially awesome.

Makeup Transforms People Into Comic Book Characters

Makeup Transforms People Into Comic Book Characters
Cosplaying as your favorite comic book character is one thing, but it is something else entirely to become them in every detail. Canadian makeup artist Lianne Moseley knows how to transform anyone into a superhero. Dressing up can only get you so far. Changing your face is the next level.

Lianne doesn’t even need the costumes. The artist uses a variety of face paints to make it look as if her models are wearing costumes. She is bringing comic books to life. Check out her Instagram page for more.

Mad Max: Fury Road Concept Art

mad max fury road concept art
We can’t get enough Mad Max right now. We may have a long wait until the next movie, so in the meantime, check out this collection of amazing concept art created for the movie by artist Peter Pound. When you aren’t going back and watching all of the movies anyway.

You can see right away that this art is from early on in the process. A lot changed by the time the movie was released. It’s fascinating to see what they were thinking so early on. Some of the stuff is frastically different, while other things were only altered slightly. You can check out more on his site.

Photos Of Superheroes As Everyday People

Photos Of Superheroes As Everyday People
Martin Beck’s photo series titled We Can Be Heroes shows everyday people dressed up like superheroes doing everyday things. We see them doing everyday tasks like working on cars, smoking cigarettes, their hair in curlers and eating just to name a few.

“The subject matter are the folks who feel they didn’t quite make it at superhero school and are, like most of us, living their lives, doing their day-to-day chores, trying to live a happy life while providing for their loved ones.” This series highlights the real heroes. The everyday men and women who make the world go round.

Doctor Who: 4th And 10th Doctor Stained Glass Panels

Doctor Who 4th And 10th Doctor Stained Glass Panels
These 4th and 10th Doctor Stained Glass Panels from Etsy seller glassola would look perfect in any TARDIS. Or if you don’t have a TARDIS, which is the case with most of us mere humans, they will look great in your house.

They measure 12″ x 16″ and make a great gift for any fan of Doctor Who. I would get them both and put them in the same room. Baker and Tennant meet at last!

JURASSIC WARS: Star Wars Dinosaur Mash-Ups

JURASSIC WARS Star Wars Dinosaur Mash-Ups
The folks at halloweencostumes.com thought it would be a good idea to mashup two hit properties from 2015 and create something new. Yeah, the people of Jurassic park thought THAT was a good idea too. Nah, this is a much better idea. Star Wars inspired dinosaurs.

These clever and cute mashups are pretty cool. Now I’m wondering how long it will take Disney to make this an actual cartoon. They could sell tons of dino-figures. It’s a whole new world of merchandising.

Chevy2who’s Amazing Star Wars Action Figure Photography

Chevy2who creates all kinds of amazing scenes with action figures. Below are some example from his Star Wars Flickr stream. Whether it is recreating scenes from the movies, or creating humorous scenes, he uses figures and props to make it feel real. I also love his humorous images, some of which can be seen below.

Now go lose yourself for awhile in his photos. He really creates magic and makes you feel like a kid again playing with your toys.

Sci-Fi Pulp Covers

Sci-Fi Pulp Covers
Behance user Leolux IV has made some super cool and retro pulp magazine covers for familiar modern Sci-Fi shows and movies. I can easily imagine these as actual pulp covers had these shows and movies arrived decades earlier.

I love what he did with these. The Star Trek one with Carol Marcus is the best! I hope he makes more. I would collect the hell out of these if they were real.
