L3-37 Droid Now Has Amazon's Alexa
Patrick Stefanski has turned Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant into a desktop version of L3-37. And thankfully, it isn’t anywhere near as annoying as the actual droid from Solo. He also gave it a British accent. While I can’t stand this annoying droid, this is an awesome project. I love how it says, “what?”every time he interacts with it. Patrick did a solid job with this one.

They should have sent a poet…

Students Recreate Interstellar’s TARS Robot

Students Recreate Interstellar’s TARS Robot
Students at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, are working on a real-life version of TARS from Interstellar. This is a smaller version of TARS and it doesn’t move quite as well as the movie version, but given enough time these students can probably get it working even better. They did a fantastic job on this robot. This is a hard one to recreate.

Alien Xenomorph Letter Opener

Alien Xenomorph Letter Opener
In space, no one can hear you scream. Or open a letter. You can’t hear anything in space. Anyway, the Alien Xenomorph letter opener is the perfect desk accessory for a Colonial Marine or regular folks like you and me. It’s an Alien head (from Aliens) with a removable tongue, which holds the blade of the letter opener. Open all of your mail as if a Xenomorph is devouring it. Too bad it doesn’t really eat up those bills.
