Star Trek x RockLove Sterling Dock Ring

Normally saucer separation means trouble, but in this case it means that you can share this ring with someone you love. This awesome ring for two features the U.S.S. Enterprise cast in solid artisan sterling silver. The saucer section can detach so you can wear one half and your significant other can wear the other half. This cool ring is handmade in New York City by RockLove. So now you just have to decide which of you gets which half. This ring is too awesome.

Postcards From Space

No one ever sends me postcards from space, but at least I now feel like they did, thanks to an art show called Postcards from Space, which is being hosted by IAm8Bit in Los Angeles. The exhibit has postcards from fictional, intergalactic destinations. Places that we have all wanted to visit. There are some really great pieces below. The Cybertron one really stands out. It’s nice to see that postcards are still being used in the universe.

Some of the artists that contributed include Marco D’ Alfonso, Nan Lawson, Orioto, Marko Manev, Erich Meyr, Austin James, Concalo Viana, Johnny Yanok, Andrew Kolb, and Cory Schmitz. There are many more. All of them did an outstanding job.

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens almost here, the folks at Car Wow have been passing the time by designing some cool new Star Wars themed cars. They have reimagined some popular characters as flashy sports cars.

I love them all, with one exception. Can you guess which one I think should be left in a junk yard? I’ll give you a hint. “Mes’a get good gas mileage Ani. Choose me.”

Check out this interesting series of stylized illustrations of some popular outfits worn by movie characters. It features some of our favorites like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Star wars, The Terminator, and more. He has more on his behance page.

Fred Birchal has studied these outfits and stylized them so that you can admire them without a wearer. This is a fun look at some of the costumeswe know and love. It’s interesting to put the spotlight on these threads. It really shows how simple they are, yet we immediately recognize them.

Superman Lives Brainiac Concept Art

Here’s some Superman Lives concept art and some designs of Brainiac, who was supposed to be the villain of the film. This film would have been directed by Tim Burton and would have starred Nicholas Cage as the Man of Steel. However the whole thing was a complete mess and we never got that movie. Some are thankful, while others are sad. As weird as this film looks, I am intrigued. I would have liked to see what Burton could do with the Man of Steel, even if the weirdness seems cranked up in typical Burton style.

The art is from propstore.com who recently auctioned off some Superman Lives items. They were taking some bold chances with Superman, I’ll give them that.

This Star Wars Art Tracks The Jedi And Sith Through All Of The Movies

This is a super complex piece of art. Andrew DeGraff’s latest art piece is just amazing and it conveys a ton of information. This painting was on display at this weekend’s Art Awakens show at Los Angeles’ Gallery 1988.

It follows the path of every Sith Lord and Jedi Knight across every location in every major vehicle they have used, through all six films. There is so much here that I’m not even sure I can decipher all of it. There is just so much here. It took over 600 hours to make for God’s sake. Most impressive!
