Her blade is bloody, her lasso unfurled and she is clearly in the middle of a fighting move. I just love everything about this piece. I think he got every detail just right.
Álvaro Ortiz López, from Jalisco, México, is one of the Huichol. One of their traditions is their beaded art which can take many forms, like jaguar heads and other folklore themes. This art is also applied to various helmets and masks. In this case he used the force and combined this tradition with Star Wars, to create this Darth Vader and Stormtrooper mask.
Domingos Aquino created this fun art that turns some of Batman’s cast into Pixar/Disney style characters. He created this piece a long time ago using Adobe Photoshop and illustrator. I would totally watch this Pixar movie. I would love to see him do more DC characters.
It’s not everyday that you see a Batman mask mashed up with Star Wars. This helmet design is pretty unique. It was created by Julian Checkley and it combines Batman’s cowl with a Scout Trooper helmet. It makes for a great futuristic Batman look, that’s for sure. It was created as part of the Biker Scout Helmet project, where artists make interesting and new custom helmets based on Scout Trooper helmets. I love this one.It is perfect for Batman.

The X-Men are mutants. So are most Adventure Time characters. So you can see how they would have a lot in common. This series of X-Men/Adventure Time character mashups was created by talented illustrator and graphic artist Katie Goodrich. I think Katie did a good job pairing them up based on their powers and other traits. Ice King is definitely magneto and Flame Princess is totally Jean grey. I really love Jake as Wolverine too. This series is mathematical!

These amazing portraits from Young Rascal are really something. They depict the Star Trek crew in classic Navy uniforms as well as on old ships. As someone who really enjoys the Horatio Hornblower stories and Star Trek, they really hit the sweet spot for me. These digital paintings really capture the crew in an entirely different era. Their jobs are pretty much the same, minus aliens and new planets. Keep the ship safe while you adventure on the high seas.
I love Battlestar Galactica in any incarnation. I loved the original as a kid and I loved the reboot series as an adult. I love the ships, the Cylons, the fleet. I love every frakking thing about it.
