Artist Carlos Fabián Villa is creating an X-Men character series that is inspired by the classic 1990 animated series. He has finished Rogue, Jean Grey, Sabertooth, and Cyclops. Check out the included gifs for each one which shows the process of his work from the first sketch to the finished product. I like these a lot as have fond memories of that animated X-show. I hope he does a bunch more.

These cool Star Wars 3D Blueprint Deco Lamps from GeekyGet are amazing. They are neon beacons of light to illuminate your darkened geek abode. They have the Millennium Falcon, the Death Star, Darth Vader, BB-8, an AT-AT and more. I would put one in every room if I could. These lamps bring the characters and vehicles to life in full 3D.
Fritz Lang’s Metropolis comes to life on this awesome retro Metropolis Necklace. It features the image of the Metropolis movie poster in an oil painting style. Now you can wear your love for this classic around your neck and show everyone how much you love it.
French illustrator and paper artist Romann Grelott created this spectacular Papercut art featuring an X-Wing and the Millennium Falcon. First he draws the ship out on paper and then cuts out all of the excess areas. The result are starships that are beautiful as lace. It sounds like he plans to add more ships to this series and I can’t wait to see them.
This unique and fun series of oil paintings are from artist Andreas Englund. They feature an aging superhero who continues to fight crime and kick serious butt. It’s kind of nice to see a hero who isn’t young and in his prime. It’s a good reminder that the real heroes are the ones you would never expect.
They really served up the ultimate geek trifecta with this stained glass inspired piece of art. Shaped like the triforce from Legend of Zelda, this illustration features a trio of nerdiness. I think I like the retro military one the best. I can see the Cap riding around on any of these. America’s favorite hero needs a good ride.

Especially if you happen to have a few small monkeys to place in front of it. It’s pretty expensive at $700. but hey, it’s not everyday that humanity discovers one of these.
IKON is an upcoming solo art show by urban art and graffiti illustrator Nychos of Rabbit Eye Movement at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York City. It will feature some of his new dissection artwork where pop culture characters like Darth Vader, Batman, Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and more get sliced up so we can see what is inside.
It’s not for everyone, but I find it fascinating how he finds various different ways to dissect these fictional characters. It’s weird for sure, but interesting. Check out just a few below and you can find more at his website.
