This version of Star Trek was an instant hit, and it would inspire four films and three spin-off television series along the way. This book is full of rarely seen photos and illustrations. It also has tons of information not commonly known and many stories that were previously untold.It is the perfect companion book to Star Trek 365: The Original Series Book.

Star Trek 365: The Original Series is the definitive, authorized guide to the Star Trek television series. It first aired from 1966 through 1969 and went on to become a cultural phenomenon after fans brought it back to life. This visual celebration of the original voyages covers the entire series in amazing detail.

It has in-depth commentary, behind-the-scenes histories, and interviews with writers, cast, and crew. There are also synopses for each of the series’ 79 episodes. The photos alone are worth getting this book for. It’s like a time capsule from the original show. I can’t recommend this one enough.

Alien Next Door

I think we are all terrified of the Xenomorphs from the Alien movies. But what if these creatures weren’t scary? Alien Next Door is a picture book by artist Joey Spiotto. It imagines that the alien from the Alien movies are cute and cuddly friends. And somehow it works. Who would have thought that these scary creatures could be so adorable?

But don’t get too complacent while you are admiring this cute alien. The real versions will still kill you dead and rip out your insides.

Star Trek: The Original Topps Trading Card Series Book

In 1976, Star Trek was enjoying a surge in popularity in syndication, so Topps released a series of collectible trading cards that featured full-color images from the television series. This Star Trek: The Original Topps Trading Card Series Book is the first-ever compilation and it includes the fronts and backs of all 88 cards and 22 stickers.

Most of us who collected these no longer have these cards so this will be a welcome trip down memory lane. The book also includes text and commentary. I love paging through books like this. These cards and so many more were a huge part of my childhood.

Star Trek: Ships Of The Line Posters Book

The Star Trek: Ships Of The Line Posters Book is sure to scratch your itch. You know the one I’m talking about. When you just need to lay your eyes on that sweet eye-candy that is Star trek vessels and admire all of their curves and flowy lines. This is the nerd version of a pin-up calendar for guys like me.

The Enterprise and most of the other ships are just so lovely and I have had a love affair with them all of my life. These posters are perfect for framing or just admiring in the book. It’s the kind of book that comes off my shelf regularly so I can fall in love all over again.

Star Wars: The Original Topps Trading Card Series Book

When I was a kid, collecting Star Wars cards was the best thing ever. The movies just came alive before your eyes with the images and captions and fun facts/image puzzle pieces on back. The Star Wars: The Original Topps Trading Card Series Book celebrates these vintage cards from Topps.

Topps first published the cards in 1977 and 1978. They are reprinted here for the first time, featuring all five sets of collectible cards and stickers. This deluxe compilation includes the fronts and backs of all 330 cards and 55 stickers/ There are also movie facts, story summaries, actor profiles, and puzzle cards featuring all your favorite characters and scenes from the first Star Wars movie.

It also has four bonus trading cards and an introduction and commentary by Gary Gerani, the original editor of the Star Wars Topps series. It is a must own for Star Wars fans who grew up with these cards.

The Empire Strikes Back version is coming in 2016!
