Adult coloring books are a great way to reduce stress. That’s probably why it is such a phenomenon. Now there is a new Art of Coloring Star Wars: Rogue One coloring book coming out very soon. The trend of making coloring books for adults keeps going full steam. And while I have not colored in one of these books since grade school, I guess I can see the appeal. After all, they are releasing some really cool coloring books based on great properties from my childhood. Like this cool Alien Coloring Book. It is 80 pages of coloring fun from Titan Books and it will be releasing in May of 2017. The release is timed with the release of Alien: Covenant.
Adult coloring books are a big thing now and that means that some of our favorite properties are showing up as coloring books now. This Vulcan Travel Guide looks like a fun book. It will be available in July 2016 and was written by Star Trek novelist Dayton Ward. It has a ton of great artwork too. Below are some preview pages. This news is going to please serious Star Trek comic collectors. It is some very welcome news. Eaglemoss is launching their Star Trek: The Graphic Novel Collection. The fortnightly series will deliver hardcover editions of comics drawn from the entire fifty year history of Star Trek comic publishing. That is a LOT of comic books. Here is what you didn’t even know you were missing. A Transformers book where the robots actually transform. Matthew Reinhart and Emiliano Santalucia have created one excellent book here. It celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Transformers toy line. It features pop-up paper versions of Autobots and Decepticons. Many of them completely transform. How cool is that?
Transformers: The Ultimate Pop-Up Universe is the book we all wish we had as kids, but it is here now to awaken the child inside. You can check out a video review below.

I’m one of these guys who can get really lost in books like this. I just love every little detail that you can learn about the world of Star Trek. As the name implies The Star Trek Encyclopedia, Revised and Expanded Edition: A Reference Guide to the Future is an updated edition with even more “stuff”.
Michael and Denise Okuda literally cover every moment from the four Star Trek series and eight films. Every planet ever visited, every food ingested, every outfit worn, and every featured character. You would be hard pressed to find much that is missing from these books. As far as I’m concerned this is a must for your Sci-Fi library.
This is going to be a special treat for Star Trek fans like me who grew up watching the original. To Boldly Go: Rare Photos from the TOS Soundstage gives us a look at many amazing behind the scenes moments from the original show. This book has hundreds of pictures of the sets, models, actors and work that went on behind the scenes.

Many adults seem to like to color these days just like they did when they were little padawans. This Star Wars Anti-Stress Coloring Book should please young and old fans alike, but it is marketed as an anti-stress activity here.
