Marvel Studios has released the Super Bowl trailer for Avengers: Endgame and uh… It’s got a pretty depressing tone. We see some new footage from the film which shows the surviving members of the Avengers, well, surviving. Naturally, things seem pretty gloomy after what happened in Avengers: Infinity War. The trailer features Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Tony Stark Nebula, Thanos, Rocket, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and War Machine.

James Wan’s Aquaman has now become the highest-grossing DC superhero film of all time, surpassing Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.
According to Box Office Mojo, Aquaman has earned $1.09 billion worldwide. This surpasses The Dark Knight Rises, which earned $1.08 billion worldwide in 2012. When you take inflation into account, Dark Knight Rises earned about $1.187 billion, which puts it only slightly ahead of Aquaman. That’s not bad at all for a Superhero from the sea. Aquaman has now earned its spot as the eighth highest-grossing superhero movie of all time. There will no doubt be a sequel.
At a time when Marvel’s MCU is slowing down and featuring second and third-tier characters, this bodes well for DC if they can keep producing good movies.
Warner Bros. has outed the next new trailer for DC’s Shazam! and it brings lots of fun and action. There’s lots of new footage here. This movie really looks like it will be a lot of fun. Among the scenes that we get to see here are young Billy Baston testing out his new powers, buying beer, and Shazam! battling against Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. If it is even half as awesome as it looks this movie is going to do very well at the box office. I can’t wait.
Blackmarket Bakery, based in Southern California, have designed gingerbread masterpieces for the holiday season for the last decade or so. This year it was the USS Discovery ship from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Complete with the monkey/monolith scene below. It’s truly awesome and I bet, very tasty too.
All my life, I was deprived of one thing. Just one thing to make my life complete. Time was nearly standing still anticipating this day. Now, I can have it: An Alien Xenomorph Clock. This clock stands 14 inches tall and is set on a base with a terrifying Xenomorph. Ok. I was lying about it completing my life, but at least it can wake me up in the morning and give me a heart attack. That’s one way of completing one’s life.
The clock is designed after the self-destruct countdown clock on the doomed ship and is equipped with red LED lights in the top and at the base. Each one is hand painted to give them all a unique touch. It’s available via the Bradford Exchange. I need this in my life, but I’m scared.

There are some good Star Wars fan films out there, and then there are some exceptional ones. Vader: Episode I belongs in the latter camp. This film will blow you away! It is set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Do yourself a favor and watch this.
