Sexy Lady Robin Cosplay

Holy girl wonder Batman! This sexy photo shoot comes from Donigan Artworks. The sexy Lady Robin? That’s cosplayer Nikasaur. It is titled “Batman Booty Call”. You can see why.

Stephanie Brown (as played by Nikasaur) has a little bit of a crush on the caped crusader. After a night of crime fighting, she can’t help but use the Batphone to make a late night Bat-booty Call. “All we can say is Holy Hotness Batman! To the Batcave!”

No doubt Batman dropped what he was doing right away. Surely Gotham can survive one night with the Joker on the loose.

Clever Doctor Who Boxed Papercraft Toys

These clever papercraft toys from Etsy seller Dougy74design are awesome. They even come in their own papercraft boxes. They will cost you just $32. and you can choose from the 4th Doctor, the 10th Doctor, Princess Leia, Boba Fett, Harry potter and more.

I just love the look of these guys and the packaging just seals the deal. I have to get a few of these for my collection before they all sell out. Hopefully the seller will create some more. I would request a Dalek to accompany the good Doctors.

Immortal Heroes Laid To Rest

Our heroes never die. They go on and endure long after we are gone, so that they can inspire others. They are the common threads that are woven through our lives, connecting us, no matter our age. That’s probably why these images seem a bit shocking at first.

This series titled Not About Death from photographer Romina Ressia shows us the deaths of three fictional heroes. It’s morbid, but there is also something beautiful about seeing these heroes laid to rest. It’s almost a sigh of relief, seeing them at the rest that has been so hard earned. Superman, Snow White and Wonder Woman are gone. The world feels radically changed.

TARDIS Birthday Card Really Is Bigger On The Inside

Behance user Cindy Graf created this excellent TARDIS birthday card. And it really is bigger on the inside. It folds down to 6″ X 9″ and even has a matching envelope with the Doctor and a character that she made. This would be the best birthday card ever. Man, I wish it was my birthday.

Basically this card transforms into the TARDIS, complete with a 10th Doctor, the console room, the pool, the library… It probably even has the eye of harmony in there somewhere too. Way to think outside of the box Cindy. Or did you think inside of the box? Anyway, good job. It’s awesome.

This Is What A Remastered Battlestar Galactica Might Look Like

We’ve seen remastered versions of Star Trek, Star Wars(Thanks George, but it wasn’t necessary.) and other vintage sci-fi properties, but what about Battlestar Galactica? Have you ever wondered what the original Batttlestar Galactica series would look like if it was remastered and re-released? It would look a lot like this.

This amazing reel of a restored and remastered original BSG was created by Adam “Mojo” Lebowitz. This video is a demo to get us all excited about how frakkin’ awesome it looks. I fully support this as long as we also get a remastered Babylon 5 too.

Ray Harryhausen With His Special Effects Models

Ray Harryhausen was a genius and his talent is directly responsible for many of the cool effects you see in movies and on TV today. io9 recently posted a fantastic collection of photographs of the stop-motion special effects pioneer, that show him working with his models.

Harryhausen was behind movies like Mighty Joe Young, Jason and the Argonauts, and Clash of the Titans. His on screen magic was and is amazing to see, and so are these images which show him hard at work.

Superheroes Celebrating Movember

Check out these fun illustrations from James Bousema that show some of our favorite superheroes celebrating No Shave November aka Movember. They all have crazy and manly facial hair. Well, almost all of them. Poor Peter Parker, after all of these years, still can’t grow any facial hair.

We’ve got Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Dr. Manhattan, Hulk, Deadpool, Batman and Spider-Man. Thankfully November is almost over, so these guys can go have a shave and go back to looking normal. I’m sure they will be more than happy to stop itching for awhile. Though they do look pretty badass.

Buck Rogers 1:9 Scale Wave 1 Action Figure Set

Fans of Buck Rogers know that the series doesn’t have as many cool toys as Star Wars, but there are some quality Buck Rogers toys out there, like this Buck Rogers 1:9 Scale Wave 1 Action Figure Set. In this set you get both Buck Rogers and Tigerman. Each 8-inch tall figure includes 2 sets of hands and features 22 points of articulation.

Zica Toys’ Buck Rogers 1:9 Scale Action Figures look damn good. Each figure also has 22 points of articulation. All of the details are perfect as is the retro style. Where were these when I was a kid? At least I can buy them now.

ALIEN 3 Behind the Scenes Video: Bambi Burster Alien

If you enjoyed David Fincher’s Alien 3, you’ll enjoy seeing some more behind the scenes footage of what went in to creating the special effects for the movie. The video below focuses on a baby Alien called the Bambi Burster. It reminds me just how much I love practical effects and I’m glad they seem to be making a comeback with the new Star Wars movie.

The “Bambi Burster” was cut from the film, but this video shows a test of the unfinished puppet. In this case it looks like they were having a hard time getting the movement down. It is awesome that these guys got to play with all of the cool toys back then.

This Futurama Farnsworth Cosplay Is Unbelievable

What can you say but wow? The folks over at Tested created an ultra-realistic mask of Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth from Futurama. Every detail is just spot on. The included video shows the process. The end result is a custom-sculpted mask that looks so realistic that it is… Well, a bit terrifying.

The whole process is amazing to watch, even after seeing all of these GIFs in action. Check it out for yourself. I don’t think that anyone can beat this Futurama cosplay. Ever!
