Stunning Babylon 5 Wallpapers

This collection of Babylon 5 wallpapers features some stunning images that you will not want to miss. I think my favorite has to be Ambassador Kosh playing the game with that Shadow creature. I already missed the show terribly, but this just makes me all the more homesick for that shining beacon in the night.

Rare Candid Polaroid Photos From the Set of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

On Set: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was an ongoing exhibit at the British Film Institute Southbank which ran through January 4, 2015. Yeah, I know, I wish I could have checked it out too. It featured all kinds of ephemera from the making of the first Star Wars film, including several Polaroid photos taken on-set. This is stuff you don’t see everyday.

The shots are owned by crew member Ann Skinner and they show several characters that were cut from the original film as well as some candid shots of the characters. These images are fascinating and it’s always nice to see a glimpse behind the scenes of one of our favorite movies. You can see more here.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Batman franchise and since the Batmobile has always been a big part of the Caped Crusader’s world, it makes sense to celebrate with a look at 10 illustrated versions of Batman’s iconic vehicles by David Lo.

Batman has driven several Batmobiles through the years and each reflects the era. Here we can see some choice Batmobiles from the original red sedan from the Batman comic books in 1939 to the Batmobile from Zach Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

AT-AT Cross-Section Infographic

I really love stuff like this AT-AT cross-section infographic. I could read stuff like this for hours. I think it’s from one of the Star Wars cross-section books, but I’m not sure which one.

The AT-AT armored transports were first seen in The Empire Strikes Back and it really illustrated to viewers what a massive force the Empire was, that it could move machines of this scale and use them in combat. They may be giant and fully armored, but everything has a weakness, as Luke soon found out. This infographic tells you everything you ever wanted to know about the AT-AT transports.

Female Data From Star Trek Cosplay

Star Trek The Next Generation’s Data was on a constant quest to discover what it means to be human. His attempts at humor never quite hit the mark, but he was more human than he knew. Cosplayer Critical Miss celebrates the android in this fun cosplay.

“I recently attended a Nerdlesque show and was supposed to perform a song, however I came down with a cold and was not able to sing. I still went and of course, needed to do a costume. I was actually supposed to do my song as original Data, and decided to make a gender bend to go to the show. I was quite pleased with the results of how the makeup turned out. This will definitely be a costume I break out again. I also love the emotion chip is working picture.”

Yep. That emotion chip sure is working. It looks like Data has found a friend in that Pinball machine.

That guy has a super awesome and fun job. It might surprise you to know just where some of those sounds came from and how they were put together.
