Engraved Glass Millennium Falcon And Death Star

These aren’t new, but they are so shiny and lovely that I had to share. Apparently only 40 of these engraved Millennium Falcon and Death Stars were produced to celebrate Disney taking over Lucasfilm. They were gifts for people who helped make the deal happen.

Each Millennium Falcon took six to seven hours to complete. The level of detail is pretty stunning. This is one of those “Holy grail” collectibles that most of us will never have a chance at owning.

Adorable Clay Doctor Who Figures

These clay Doctor Who figures from Etsy seller eattoast are fairly adorable and they offer all of your favorite characters, mostly villains, from the classic series straight up through new Who. The little boy in the gas mask is even here. “Are you my mummy?”

They stand about 4″ tall and I can only imagine how awesome they would look in a group on your desk or shelf. They are about $20-30 and well worth it for such unique little figures. We picked some of our favorites below.

Wolverine’s Animated History

The X-Men movie franchise has been entertaining, but you have to admit that the timeline has become kind of confusing over the years. That’s why Denis Mallon decided to explore the storyline of Wolverine. One of our favorites from the series. This should help clear things up for you.

He designed and animated this motion graphics piece that spans the original X-Men trilogy, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, his cameo in X-Men: First Class, and 2013’s The Wolverine. As Denis points out, he has had a rough history. He has fought in major wars, survived an atomic bomb and much more. Hey, at least he gained those sweet metal claws.

Celebration Anaheim: Vader Case Project

At Celebration IV in 2007, the original Vader Project had artists decorate and alter full sized Darth Vader helmet replicas. You’ve seen them around and probably marveled at how creative people can get with Darth Vader’s head. Artists turned Vader into a clown, the Statue of Liberty and much more. You can check them out at thevaderproject.com. It’s awesome stuff.

Well, now the Celebration Track has invited artists and collectors to decorate vintage Darth Vader action figure carrying cases. These cases will be shown throughout Celebration Anaheim in the Collector’s Track Social Room. They look amazing. I want to paint my old case now. See some of them below. For more info head here.

Wild West Variant Play Arts Kai Batman Action Figure

I love the Elseworlds series from DC Comics, where Batman can be anything from any period. Even the Wild West. And speaking of the Wild West, check out the Wild West Batman Figure, standing over 10-inches tall! He includes a grapnel gun, tomahawk, and display stand.

The detail on this DC Comics Batman Timeless Wild West Variant Play Arts Kai Action Figure is just magnificent. From his cowboy hat and boots, down to his chaps. No detail has been overlooked. He comes with several changeable hands and accessories. This one is a must for serious Batman collectors.

Terminator Remix From Eclectic Method

The Terminator is back in the news since Terminator Genisys is coming out this summer. This Terminator Remix from Eclectic Method will get you good and hyped up for it. Eclectic Method has released a brand new remix video featuring footage and lines from all of the Terminator movies. It is downright mesmerizing. Even catchy.

I like how they use the violence and action from the films and just amp it up. It will make you feel weird and awesome all at once.

Star Wars Mosaics Made With…Staples

We’ve all seen mosaics, whether it be a colorful piece of wall art made from found objects, an intricate portrait made with stone, or just your kitchen tiles. But you have never seen mosaics like this. That Darth Vader mosaic? It is made using over ten thousand multi-colored staples. That takes dedication and patience. And amazing talent. And lots and lots of staples of course.

Painter and print maker James Haggerty’s art project called “The Side” features mosaics of Darth Vader, C-3PO and Greedo, all made of staples. Each mosaic measures about 40 inches x 32inches. The power of his stapler is impressive. Most impressive.

The Joker’s Trophy Wall Recreated In Creepy Photograph

Brian Bolland’s illustration “Joker Trophy Wall” is a classic and terrifying work of art. The Joker is sitting around enjoying his pipe and a drink in front of the heads of dead and mounted superheroes. How can it get more horrifying you ask? Well, cosplayer and photographer Anthony Misiano brought it to life as a photograph that is every bit as chilling as the original.

If you are a Joker fan who needs this for your wall, (and aren’t we all?) Misiano is selling autographed 11×17″ copies at his shop. In all, this took 45 individual photographs to create. There were 16 photos of the Joker alone. Well, it all worked out perfectly. That is a super scary scene.
