Star Wars Death Star Kitchen Timer

Star Wars Death Star Kitchen Timer
The Star Wars Death Star Kitchen Timer will be the ultimate power in your kitchen. Just rotate the top hemisphere to the required time to start the countdown. It will time up to 60 minutes.

It will let out a ring when the timer reaches zero. You know, rather than destroying a planet. It is the perfect kitchen accessory for Star Wars fans. It should last for awhile too, since it doesn’t have the design flaw of the original that caused it to blow up so easily.

Sci-Fi Ikea Manuals

Sci-Fi Ikea Manuals
These Sci-Fi Ikea manuals are fun. They imagine what it would be like to- Well, maybe not to be able to walk into Ikea and buy this stuff, but what it would be like to have Ikea manuals for these movies.

The lightsaber is my favorite, although you have to love what they did with Jurassic Park too. They are all classics and this made my day. Also love Doc Brown slipping and hitting his head on the toilet.

District 9 Assault Rifle Replica

If you have seen District 9, you know that the props by Weta Workshop are pretty amazing. If you somehow haven’t seen the movie, you are really missing out. The folks at Tested teamed up with prop maker Bill Doran and effects artist Frank Ippolito to replicate the movie’s Alien Assault Rifle and alien hand.

The finished items are amazing, but we already knew they would be with these talented people working on them. This stuff is so fun to watch. The video walks through the process of building each item.

Star Wars Watercolor Playing Cards

Star Wars Watercolor Playing Cards
This deck of 54 poker sized playing cards from AshleyVillersArt features prints of all of her original Star Wars inspired artwork.

It is one beautiful deck of cards. The images are printed on 310gsm, casino quality, linen cardstock and each card contains a black core layer so other players can’t see what you are holding. Naturally Jar-Jar is the joker. This is one of the prettiest playing card sets I have ever seen.

The History Of Aliens In Film

This compilation from Digg takes a look at the history of aliens in film. It starts with 1902’s A Trip to the Moon and goes all the way to 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. What a long strange trip it’s been.

It’s not meant to be complete so don’t get your panties in a bunch. It’s just a cool look at the phenomenon in general. It is a great overview of how film technology has evolved as well. It’s really fascinating to watch the evolution of aliens on film because it tells us more about ourselves.
