I really love the style of these custom X-Men playing cards. They are from Melbourne-based designer Mark Eastwood. Naturally they are called “Uncanny Playing Cards”. Instead of your typical kings and queens, the face cards have Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto, Storm, and Professor X, plus others.
They all interact with the suit symbols in clever ways too. They have a great retro style as if they were released in the 1960s. Even Gambit wouldn’t throw these cards. They are too cool. I need to be able to buy them.
By now you’ve all seen the series 9 premiere of Doctor Who. It seems like people are pretty split on whether they liked it or not, but one thing is for sure, Peter Capaldi remains the best part of the show. IMO anyway. And check this out. The Doctor and Clara have recreated the classic Abbey Road album cover. With some help from the Daleks of course.
Interesting that Clara is taking Paul’s place and barefoot. Maybe she will get killed off in this series after all. I don’t think her current death from the last episode will last very long though.
Remember that Spocktrooper action figure from Junkfed? Check out Spork. He is a C2E2 2015 Exclusive. This mashup brings Spock and Mork from Ork together at last. As a kid who grew up with bot Spock and Mork, I have to say, I really dig what they are doing with this series.
Now I’m picturing an alternate reality where Mork shows up on the Enterprise in place of Q. How crazy would that have been?
Watercolor art always has this otherworldly feel. It is even more otherworldly when superheroes are done in watercolor paint. These watercolor portraits are from French illustrator and designer Blule. They are intense and full of movement.
I would love to see more comic books using watercolor to tell stories. These portraits are just so satisfying to look at. It really is amazing the mood you can set with watercolor paints.
Sometime in the next few years we are going to see Boba Fett back on the big screen. Word is that Lucasfilm has been working on a spinoff movie starring the famous bounty hunter. It may not be confirmed yet, but we know that it’s coming. It might look something like this trailer made by Director Eric Demeusy.
This fan-trailer is called Star Wars: The New Republic Anthology. Boba Fett escapes the Sarlacc Pit and makes his way to his ship, Slave I. The costume looks great, the music is right on target. It makes me itch for Fett’s new movie. It is a great time to be a Star Wars fan.
These Doctor Who Pillow Plushies are pretty darn adorable. No one could fault you for cuddling up with a Doctor or 12, or an Adipose even. Let me just ask you. Do you have pillows on your couch right now? Are they as cool as these? No? That’s what i thought. They are also perfect companions for Doctor Who marathons. Hug them and squeeze them during the scary parts from your hiding spot behind the sofa.
Experience the softer side of the Doctor! These are too cute.
This Star Trek “To Boldly Go” Personalized Sculpture is like getting a medal from Starfleet. It’s a personalized Starfleet combadge with the United Federation of Planets flag. And the base is personalized with your name or the recipient’s name, or a special message.
This belongs in your ready room with a message from Starfleet that shows that you have served with valor. Pretty cool gift for your fellow Star Trek fans. This is going to look good in your collection.
I think this is the best Suicide Squad Harley Quinn cosplay I have seen yet. Cosplayer Izabel Cortez looks stunning as our favorite psycho. What’s even more amazing is that she made the entire costume from scratch. How amazing is that? It never ceases to amaze me how talented cosplayers are. You nailed it Izabel.
The photos are by Arthur Gimena, Ysabel Pelobello, Jovi Claire and Chi Concepcion.
This Transformers Optimus Prime (Starscream Version) Transformers Collectible Figure is insane. Transformers Generation 1 all the way. Optimus stands about 12″ tall and it’s no joke when it comes to the detail on this thing. It has nice distressed effects, a pair of Starscream’s wings, weapons, and a rocky ground diorama base with the Autobots logo. I know I’m a nerd, but I think I’m in love.
The colors! The textures! It’s a must have for Transformers fans. God, this thing looks good.

Do yourself a favor and check out Jason Eaton’s amazing art over at his website. He makes some really outstanding scale models and studio replicas. I’ll just show you two cool pieces here. The Blade Runner blimp is amazing. Make sure you watch the video below.
I also am really digging that Cloud Car from The Empire Strikes Back made of sneakers. Awesome stuff.
