Boba Fett and Pocahontas Mashup Cosplay

Boba Fett and Pocahontas Mashup Cosplay
I don’t know about you, but I never expected to see Boba Fett and Pocahontas mashed up together in an amazing cosplay. This fun idea was created by Hendoart, and it certainly has a unique look. I love all of the unique details that she worked into this from both characters.

This particular combination would have never occurred to me, but it is pretty awesome. Hendoart pulls it off beautifully. Why not? Disney owns both of these properties now. The photos were taken by York In A Box. This is a truly creative bit of cosplay that is just plain fun.

USPS 50th Anniversary Star Trek Stamps For 2016

USPS 50th Anniversary Star Trek Stamps For 2016
As part of next year’s celebrations honoring the 50th anniversary of the original Star Trek, the United States Postal Service will be offering four Star Trek themed postage stamps.

In 2016 the USPS will offer a set of four special stamps from the Final Frontier. Some of you might remember the first Star Trek postage stamp, worth 33 cents, which was released in September of 1999 for the USPS’s “Celebrate the Century” initiative. It will be nice to have some Star Trek stamps to stick on the corners of our envelopes once again. These new ones look pretty awesome. If you still use stamps, you’ll want to get some of these.

Star Wars AT-AT Bookshelf

Star Wars AT-AT Bookshelf
You really can’t go wrong with a 3 foot tall AT-AT bookshelf. It’s the perfect place for your Star Wars books, DVDs and action figures. I would love to have this displayed in my house. Even if you don’t use it for storage, it is just awesome to have an AT-AT bookshelf.

Do you think this was the Empire’s attempt at a bookmobile? I mean this thing would hold, what, about a trillion books? Probably not. But that would be soooo cool.

Concept Art For Rejected Power Rangers Film Actually Looks Awesome

Concept Art For Rejected Power Rangers Film Actually Looks Awesome
Power Rangers fans should already know that Lionsgate has been developing a new Power Rangers movie with Saban Entertainment. It will be directed by Dean Israelite. One of the other directors who didn’t get the green light worked with conceptual artists Alex Ruiz and Gregory Semkow. This is some of what they came up with. It is unique and not at all what you might expect. These images are phenomenal. There are images of The Control Room, Alpha, T-Rex Zord, Zordon, and Rita Repulsa.

Ruiz says:

“This is some concept art I made for a director who was pitching his film version of Power Rangers. If you guys remember someone made an amazing PR fan film this year, which lit the fire under many asses to get a full on Hollywood film made. So, many a director jumped at the opportunity. Unfortunately our guy didn’t get it, it went to another director. Such is the nature of the film business.”

How much do you want to bet that the movie we get is not nearly as cool as this concept art. Sad, but it will probably be true.

Ghostbusters Stay Puft Marshmallow Candle

Ghostbusters Stay Puft Marshmallow Candle
This detailed candle replica of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man has a tasty marshmallow scent that you will enjoy and don’t worry, he won’t rampage through your city or even your house. He will be too busy making your room smell nice as he slowly burns down. He’s wearing his classic sailor outfit.

Sometimes you can’t help it… it just pops in there when you try to think of the most harmless thing. That’s when Mr. Stay Puft arrives. Only this time he’s harmless. Adorable in fact. I’m pretty sure nothing could go wrong. Just don’t think about him being like a hundred feet tall.

Alien And Predator LEGO Portraits

Alien And Predator LEGO Portraits
These LEGO portraits of Xenomorphs and Predators are fun yet terrifying. Also awesome. They capture each creature perfectly using only LEGO bricks. These 3D portraits were created by New Zealand-based LEGO enthusiast Grantmasters. Some of you may recognize the Alien portrait, which was inspired by the original cover for the Alien: Weyland-Yutani Report Collectors’ Edition book.

I would hang these on my wall, but I’m not sure they would stay. They are just too scary despite being made of LEGO.

Disney Artists Illustrate Star Wars Characters With Cats

Disney feature animation artists Griz and Norm Lemay created these Star Wars: The Force Awakens illustrations depicting some of our favorite characters with cats that match them.

Rey has a Bengal cat, while BB-8 has Calico kittens to match his color scheme. Proof that everything is better with cats. Even Star Wars. I like the playful style. Hopefully they will create more in this series. I’m interested to know what kind of cat Kylo Ren has.

These beautiful minimal and retro Star Wars posters from POTAPOTA are perfect, conveying so much with so little. Kind of like Yoda actually. This unique poster series was designed with the best quotes from the movies and most memorable parts of the films and there are several versions to choose from. All look amazing. Several of these would look so good on my office walls… I think I have to get some for myself. So long money.

Rare Star Trek Photos From Gene Roddenberry's Archive
Star Trek’s 50th anniversary is next year, and so Roddenberry Entertainment has announced that next year they will be releasing a ton of rare photos, memos, script pages, documents and more from their archives. One can only imagine what is in those archives. It is a treasure trove of Trek.

They are calling this “The 366 Project,” and starting in 2016 they will release one piece of Star Trek history on their social media channel every single day. So over that year, we will have 366 pieces of historical Trek artifacts in total. I can’t wait to see what is coming. There should be a lot of good stuff in there.
