Lucasfilm has released a new TV spot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and it has some cool new footage! Like Luke Skywalker walking into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon for instance. And is that Rey raising her lightsaber against Luke Skywalker? That’s not going to end well. Probably just clever editing. The excitement continues to build.

It looks like it is going to be an amazing adventure, which is what every Star Wars movie should be. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to be released on December 15th!
BB-9E is getting ready to make his appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but you can play with him right now and control this Sphero BB-9E App-Enabled Droid with your smartphone or tablet. It is compatible with iOS and Android devices. This droid rolls and moves its dome just like the droid in the film. BB-8 has been a Star Wars star ever since The Force Awakens hit theaters. People love this little droid as much as thy love R2-D2. But now there’s a new droid in town. The First Order has an adorable round droid of its own. This animated short shows them meeting for the first time. Here BB-8 runs into the new droid and tries to make friends.

Meet the cutest creatures to hit the Star Wars universe since the Ewoks. Porgs are the small penguin-like creatures who live on Ach-To, the planet where Luke Skywalker is. Writer/director Rian Johnson gave Entertainment Weekly more details about the Porgs. They were inspired by the puffins that inhabit the island where they filmed. However these cute creatures aren’t the only new and unusual creatures in the movie. Another alien species can be found at the primeval Jedi temple. They are called The Caretakers.
“They’re kind of these sort of fish-bird type aliens who live on the island,” Johnson says. “They’ve been there for thousands of years, and they essentially keep up the structures on the island.”
“They’re all female, and I wanted them to feel like a remote sort of little nunnery,” Johnson says. “Neal Scanlan’s crew designed them, and costume designer Michael Kaplan made these working clothes that also reflected sort of a nun-like, spartan sort of existence.”
I’m liking these little touches. If they treat the rest of the movie with this much care, we are in for a great treat.

Lucasfilm and Disney have released a very cool behind-the-scenes video for Star Wars: The Last Jedi! It was shared at D23 by director Rian Johnson and now it’s online for everyone to enjoy. There’s a lot going on here including many new scenes to enjoy. This should get you pumped to see this movie.
The Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer is mysterious and intense. How can you possibly make it better? By going retro of course. New York City-based artist Wahyu Ichwandardi recreated the first teaser trailer shot for shot using a 33-year-old Apple II computer and an old KoalaPad+ on which he drew every frame. He saved the collection of 288 images onto 48 individual floppy disks, then transferred them over to a more modern setup, putting the pictures together, and setting them to the trailer’s audio track. The result of all this hard work is very cool. Enjoy.

Here it is! The trailer that we have all been waiting for. The first teaser trailer for Star Wars The Last Jedi. There is a lot to take in here, but… Could Luke really be talking about ending the Jedi order? Plus we have space battles (Looks more like a blockade), some pod-racer type ships skimming across a planet’s surface and kicking up red dust, Rey presumably training under Luke and more. Are you excited for this movie yet?

Damn you Rian Johnson. Why must you tease us? We have almost a full year to wait for this movie still. I guess stuff like this gives us something to do in the meantime. Director Rian Johnson released a neat behind-the-scenes photo teasing the opening crawl for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We are still speculating what that title could mean. It probably just refers to Luke being the last since Rey isn’t a Jedi yet. We will have to wait and see.
