Everybody just hold your money out, because QMx is about to take a huge chunk of it. This new Millennium Falcon replica was on display at Comic-Con. We’ve all seen posters and T-shirts and the like, depicting the ship as a cutaway so you can see every detail of her, but this is really the first time it has been done in toy form for us to gawk at. Look at that insane level of detail. And yes, it has a top so you can display it normally as well. QMx says that it is still in the prototype phase so it may or may not come to market.

Marvel has unveiled a 13-foot tall bronze statue of Captain America at San Diego Comic-Con. After, it will leave for Steve Rogers’ hometown of Brooklyn, New York. The statue was designed by Comicave Studios and immortalizes the First Avenger! It really looks stunning. That is a statue worthy of Captain America. This statue will even be worked into the comic book series.

New Star Trek Insignia Shaped Vinyl Single
La La Land Records has announced a cool new collectible that belongs on your turntable. This new Star Trek soundtrack release is a single edition of the TOS theme, but the coolest thing about it is that it is not on a round record, but an insignia shaped vinyl disc, in command gold.

The A side has the season three soprano version of the the main title, the B side is the season one cello version. It is a limited edition of 1701 units. It will debut at San Diego Comic Con, and then be offered online from La La Land’s website on July 26th. This is a record worthy of being in your collection.

Hot Wheels are on fire right now. They are coming out with some really unique toys all of the sudden, like that 1964 Buick Riviera with Spock leaning on the hood. This set may just be Hot Wheels’ coolest Star wars car set yet. Hot Wheels has revealed a new Death Star trench run set that features some amazing four-wheeled versions of TIE Fighters chasing an X-Wing.

The packaging even features lights and sound effects, along with three short sections of Hot Wheels track to expand your racetrack. This set will exclusively be available at the Mattel booth at SDCC if you’re attending. You can also pre-order it from MattyCollector. I wonder what else the company will unveil.

Planet Of The Apes Art By Alex Ross

The latest Planet of the Apes movie has me wanting to watch the old Planet of the Apes movies all over again, but before I do that, I thought I would share this poster art from comic artist Alex Ross. He has created four pieces of poster art inspired by the original Planet of the Apes. These are based on covers of the Boom Studios Comic book Planet of the Apes: Cataclysm. They were available for purchase at San Diego Comic-Con, but you can still buy them here. If any are left.

Each 17 x 22 inch giclee is a limited edition of 168. They will cost $145 each and $195 for #4. Sure, they are a tad expensive, but this is Alex Ross. And apes! Damn dirty apes!
