Fantasy Movie Posters

Artist Sean Hartter reimagines classic science fiction films and casts them in an alternate universe, creating some amazing and memorable tributes to midcentury B movie graphics. It’s a great big “What if”. I can definitely see these as movie posters from a parallel dimension.

“I’m a total sci-fi geek,” Hartter says. “These posters are based on the idea that they’re from multiple universes, which frees me up to tinker with time frames and poster design.”

That X-Men poster is especially awesome.

Predator Dark Horse Comic Book 8-Inch Action Figure

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Predator comic book than by buying this Predator Dark Horse Comic Book 8-Inch Action Figure! I’m biased though, because I love all things Predator. This 8-inch tall figure recreates the Predator’s appearance on the cover of the first issue and they hit all of the details perfectly, right down to the comic book colors and shading!

It also features some really nice articulation and a new ceremonial staff accessory. The deluxe window box packaging has original comic book art too and it comes with a special bonus mini-comic reprint of Predator #1!

Slave Leia Cosplay

Check out Lady Jaded as Slave Leia! She does a great job. I totally buy that she is being held prisoner by Jabba The Hutt and that as soon as she has the opportunity, she is going to choke that fat slug with her own chains. Yes, Slave Leia cosplay has been done a million times, but it is still fun, so I had to include this one.

Star Trek Wall Clock With Sound And Animation

This Star Trek Wall Clock With Sound And Animation belongs in every Star Trek fans ready room or bridge. This fun clock is limited to only 5,000 worldwide. It is almost two feet tall. The wooden cuckoo clock face is protected by glass and it features a nice montage of the Original Series crew.

Every hour the Enterprise does a fly-by to the tune of the Original Series theme song. The pendulum is also designed to look like the Enterprise saucer while the weights are the nacelles. This is a pretty perfect Star Trek clock. You’ll want to get this one before it sells out.

These 4th and 10th Doctor Stained Glass Panels from Etsy seller glassola would look perfect in any TARDIS. Or if you don’t have a TARDIS, which is the case with most of us mere humans, they will look great in your house.

They measure 12″ x 16″ and make a great gift for any fan of Doctor Who. I would get them both and put them in the same room. Baker and Tennant meet at last!

JURASSIC WARS: Star Wars Dinosaur Mash-Ups

The folks at halloweencostumes.com thought it would be a good idea to mashup two hit properties from 2015 and create something new. Yeah, the people of Jurassic park thought THAT was a good idea too. Nah, this is a much better idea. Star Wars inspired dinosaurs.

These clever and cute mashups are pretty cool. Now I’m wondering how long it will take Disney to make this an actual cartoon. They could sell tons of dino-figures. It’s a whole new world of merchandising.

Prometheus And Alien Edited Together

I know that a lot of people think that Prometheus was a sub-par movie, whether it is a prequel to Alien or not. I found it to be a worthy prequel to the classic, but different strokes and all that. For those of you who didn’t like the movie, maybe you’ll like it better with both movies edited together.

Editor Job Willins edited both movies together to highlight the good things in Prometheus and give it some closer ties to Alien. The film uses a parallel narrative, set 30 years apart and is titled Derelict. It really does a great job of setting an even scarier atmosphere in black and white. I’m not sure how I feel about it, but it’s a brilliant idea and very creepy.

Star Wars: The Blueprints is a must for anyone who wants to go in depth and explore that galaxy far, far away. It combines the original technical drawings from the Lucasfilm Archives with insightful commentary from the author J. W. Rinzler. Everything is presented in vivid and intricate detail.

This book has over 250 blueprints, more than 500 photographs and illustrations and ten gatefolds. It’s the kind of book you get lost in for several hours at a time.
