Keith Vlahakis calls this series Star Wars Popism. These pop art renditions of several iconic character helmets look pretty sweet. I love some of the little details like the brushwork on that Stormtrooper helmet below and the patterns on Jango Fett’s helmet.
Colombia based artist Lina Ruiz created this colorful and fun Vector Illustrations based on Science Fiction and Fantasy properties. These Retro Pop Style Marvel Movie Posters are bold, bright and eye-popping. French artist Florent Zimmermann knows how to catch the viewer’s attention. As bright and bold as they are, the actual characters are barely seen in many of these, yet the style of each piece shouts their identity loud and clear. They are all incorporate panels in the background, like an actual comic book page.
I love the style of these Star Wars and Alien Travel Posters. They are pop art style and very colorful and playful. These would be at home anywhere in your house. Even in a kids room thanks to the fun colors. Maybe keep the alien version away from the kid’s room though. I hope FinlayMcNevin makes more, because they look great.
We have in our minds certain iconic images of our favorite heroes. And illustrator Greg Guillemin is challenging the way we look at our heroes by making them more human. His ongoing series, “The Secret Life of Heroes”, shows us what these heroes do when they aren’t busting bad guys and saving the world.
They are just like you and me. For instance, Spider-Man eats a hamburger, itches his crotch and plays video games. Captain America laments the fact that his clothing is made in China. And Superman takes Viagra. Check out his website for more cool stuff.

London UK based artist James Northcote is not a super villain. No really. He just likes to dissect superheroes in his series titled Hero dissections. I guess he is just curious about what makes them tick. We all are. It’s just that most of us don’t go slicing them up to find out.
I want to tell James to be careful and that this is how villains always start out, but to be honest I’m kind of scared of James. Just kidding James. You gave me a chuckle with these illustrations.
