Guardians of the Galaxy Cosplay: Nebula & Gamora

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosplay Nebula & Gamora
This beautiful pair is AmberSkies Cosplay and Sara Moni Cosplay doing an amazing shoot as the daughters of Thanos, Nebula and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy. AmberSkies stitched all of Nebula’s clothing pieces together herself! She also created all of the mechanical pieces of Nebula’s bionic arm, face, and head. It is no wonder that she came in first place in the Women’s category for the official Marvel cosplay contest at San Diego Comicon 2015. That is some real talent.

Gamora is looking pretty awesome too. They did a fantastic job. Super professional. The photos speak for themselves. The photographers here are: Posing with London’s Lens, Craig’s Cosplay Corral, Alvin Johnson Photography & David Ngo. All did great work. I mean play. As always I am equally blown away by both the photography and the cosplay.

Batman In Mexico

Batman In Mexico
What if Batman visited Mexico? It’s a question I’ve never thought about. Photographer Faridde Orozco thought about it and set out to find out just what that would be like. This series of photographs are the answer.

These shots are beautiful and you know what? The location may have changed from Gotham to Mexico, but Batman is just doing his usual thing. Brooding and looking out over the city from rooftops, mostly keeping to the shadows. I really like getting a tour of the city from Batman’s point of view. Awesome. My hope is that Faridde takes some other heroes to other cities and shows us the results.

Alien Queen Cosplay

Alien Queen Cosplay
This Alien Queen Cosplay based on the alien queen from Aliens 2 is more beautiful than terrifying. It was created by animation director Ashley J. Long. That headpiece is made from 50 to 60 pieces of cardstock that were hand arranged and glued together over two months. Now that is dedication to your craft. No wonder it looks so perfect. The jewels are a nice creepy touch. The headpiece sits on a bike helmet, which is the key to making it wearable and keeping it in place. It’s a great design.

The egg is paper mache and the spine is aluminum. I’ve never seen a more stylish and elegant alien queen. Still deadly, but quite lovely. You can make one yourself. For more info check it out on Instructables.

Hellboy and Darth Maul Cosplay Mashup

Hellboy and Darth Maul Cosplay Mashup
I’ve never been a big fan of Darth Maul, but mix him up with Hellboy and I think he’s pretty awesome now. this imaginative cosplay mashup combines Hellboy with Darth Maul and though I’ve never given it much thought, they really do make a great combination.

Naturally this guy is called Sithboy. The cosplay was created by Luis Projects, while the photos were taken by James Rulison. This guy has his double-bladed lightsaber and his guns. He’s ready to rumble. Great job.

Rebel Pilot Pinup Cosplay

Rebel Pilot Pinup Cosplay
This Rebel pinup cosplay is not only rebellious, it is downright awe-inspiring. I want to join the rebels and fight! Where do I sign up? Missy looks great in this Star Wars pinup inspired Rebel Pilot photoshoot! I’m sure rebel recruits must be on the upswing now.

Naturally she is excited about episode VII and since that helmet was commissioned recently, she just had to get geared up. Photography by Studio Aranas.

Lovely Poison Ivy Cosplay

Lovely Poison Ivy Cosplay
I look at these images of Avant-Geek cosplaying as Poison Ivy and all I can do is quote George Takei and say, “Oh Myyy!” That’s because she looks absolutely stunning. This is her original design called Enchanted Ivy. She clearly loves whimsical and romantic designs that play well with nature.

She really looks at home in nature as does that dress. These images are simply lovely. Some cosplayers just put on costumes, others create works of art. Great work Avant-Geek.

Black Canary Cosplay

Black Canary Cosplay
Check out Holly Brooke looking amazing as DC’s Black Canary. Holly has always been a DC Comics fan so she had to cosplay as Black Canary. While the costume may not be super complicated, she pulls it off perfectly, with tons of style and attitude. Love the blue jacket.
