So Mattel recreates the Justice League trailer with some scenes where action figures replace the heroes. It sounds like a cool winning combo, but it’s not. It’s weird guys. It tries to do what fan trailers do, but they miss the mark on almost every level. It just comes off half-hearted, but maybe that’s just me. What do you guys think? Do you like it?
Pilot this awesome RC Batmobile through the streets of Gotham and take down the bad guys. The Justice League Movie Ultimate Batmobile RC Vehicle is a great replica of the Batmobile from the Justice League movie. It has real smoking exhaust, roaring engine sounds, rotating gun turrets and can be controlled via remote or an app-enabled tablet or smartphone. It also comes with a Batman figure with articulated arms that will bend with the steering wheel and his foot presses on the gas pedal. This is a must have for your Batman collection.
Hot Wheels are on fire right now. They are coming out with some really unique toys all of the sudden, like that 1964 Buick Riviera with Spock leaning on the hood. This set may just be Hot Wheels’ coolest Star wars car set yet. Hot Wheels has revealed a new Death Star trench run set that features some amazing four-wheeled versions of TIE Fighters chasing an X-Wing.
The packaging even features lights and sound effects, along with three short sections of Hot Wheels track to expand your racetrack. This set will exclusively be available at the Mattel booth at SDCC if you’re attending. You can also pre-order it from MattyCollector. I wonder what else the company will unveil.

Mattel has announced a new line of Star Trek Barbies. These are due to arrive in June and the characters are Uhura, Kirk, and Spock. Amazon has Kirk and Spock right now, but no listing for Uhura. However, you can get all 3 in a set. Uhura looks absolutely lovely and makes a perfect Barbie doll. I assume they will release more characters as well as a scale bridge set since we can see it in some of these images.
As a nerd, I appreciate well designed toys. Especially since we’ve all seen our share of bad ones. I even love stuff that I would never play with. Like this Wonder Woman Barbie based on Gal Gadot. I just don’t make a habit of playing with dolls. Sorry.
But if I did, I would pick this one up. She has some nice upgrades from her previous version, like a royal blue, gold lamé lined hooded cape, a paneled skirt, and a metallic red bustier. It’s all in the details and they really nailed it here. She also has an updated hairstyle and a cool gold shield. I hope lots of little girls get this one and have fun.

The other day we showed you the new Barbie “dolls” based on Batman v Superman. At the time Batman and Wonder Woman had been unveiled, but not Superman. Well, now we have some images of the Superman version. He’s looking pretty good for a Barbie doll. You can order him here. Looks like they ship on March 1st. I wonder if Mattel is going to be making more superhero dolls after these. I like what they are offering.
A Wonder Woman Barbie doll is expected, but Batman and Superman Barbie dolls? At least they don’t look like Ken. Mattel has announced their Batman and Wonder Woman “Dolls” based on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Both are available for pre-order on Amazon right now in fact. You can find Batman here and Wonder Woman here. They both stand 13 inches tall. No Superman yet however. I know the female fans will love that Wonder Woman version. She looks great.
